This is the story of Dr. Crandall's conversion I'm an RN and a paramedic by training so when I heard the story of a man who was 'coded' for 40 minutes, was pronounced dead, who was left for dead for a short time It is a profound story. He recounts the fiery trial of watching one of his twin sons battle leukemia, and ultimately succumb, through the lens of someone who is searching for God and His hand in those trials.

Crandall's belief was strong enough when he prayed over his son, Chad, and Chad was a strong believer but it was not in God's will at the time. Despite the loss of his son, Dr. Crandall observed his son's journey and his union with Jesus; it made Dr. Crandall's belief stronger and he asked God to give him people to heal in exchange for his son.

This book was not at all what I was expecting. I got the impression that the author had some medical success and found a way to parlay that into some bizarre religious enlightenment.

Info you won't see in other places. Very open author who went through a very hard experience, and shares the knowledge he gained from his experience. I'm very glad I read it The author's wife after 10 years of trying for pregnancy was pregnant 2 weeks after a fertility goddess idol was removed from their home.

The bible clearly warns not to bring in a 'cursed item' into your home 'lest you become cursed like it. Some might scoff, but after we read this book and removed an item from our home like described in the book- we had similar IMMEDIATE positive results from an unexplainable illness that quickly improved.

I tend to be skeptical of those type of stories to be honest, but seeing was believing for me. Glad I read it, some might not agree with every sentence in the book, but if you can only learn something from an author that you agree with every little comment you might lead a dull life. Having 5 children with puzzling medical issues I have learned many of the lessons Dr. In all that my family has endured I pray we can all be the kind of loving examples of God's love that he calls us to be. Thanks for the reflections and for sharing your faith so boldly! I wish I had met a doctor like you in all of the many doctors my children have seen. It sure would have been reassuring to have someone to support you instead of look at you strangely because you looked to God to keep you a float when troubles were at your doorstep.
