I would recommend this to middle school and above because this topic is a hard topic to grasp for young immature minds. I would recommend this to both genders, because it has no gender-based content. I love to read books by Karen Kingsbury and I love the series that she does that have real miracles that have happened in the world today. I think it is amazing a it proves how great our God is!
He works miracles in peoples live each and every day and sometimes we just need to sit down and think about how lucky we are to have a God that gives us the miracle of life. This title is one sub chapter of the book I read, as are others such as: Apr 05, Sarah Tummey rated it did not like it. So glad to finish this - it was absolutely awful. In the front it says the stories have been fictionalised, so you're left wondering which bits are true and which aren't, and all the men act like women! You get lines like: If you're going to write a book about people, at least make it realistic. These stories will renew your faith in a God who cares so much for us and will answer our prayers in miraculous ways if He chooses to. I love Christmas and these Christmas miracles touched my heart and refreshed me as I read them.

I really recommend this book to anyone; especially those who might be going through a period or crisis of if God really performs miracles years later.

However, the final story Heavenly Hindrances has a major error. A lovely book of miraculous tales. This is a great book very inspirational.

God works through other people and sometimes rescues people with angels. This book is full of these inspirational stories of hope. This book is a joy and quick to read. It's extra special as an audio book because John McDonough reads it.
He is my favorite reader of all time since he did the Mitford series by Jan Karon. When I first started reading this, I thought the stories were sweet but told in a corny way. But I definitely believe in the God of Miracles, so I kept reading. The book got better as it went along, and the last few stories, especially the very last one, gave me chills and I had tears running down my face as I got to the end of the book.
It's a quick read and definitely worth reading, especially at this time of year. We truly have an amazing God! Everything she writes touches my heart. There's always love and family issues that need resolution. God is always the center of that resolution. She has a way of sharing scripture that brings it to a new light for me. Very inspirational and uplifting short true stories and a quick read. Nice to know that miracles do happen and sometimes people get to share their story. Names were changed to protect the innocent. This book was a gift from a good friend of mine. We both believe in prayer and this book really makes me realize how important prayer is in my daily life.

Her book is filled with true, but fictionalized, short stories about miracles at Christmas. Miracles filled with the true meaning of Christmas. Each story honors the greatest gift of all, Christ. I didn't read the last few stories in this book. My friend gave me hers to borrow and although the stories themselves were cute, I felt they were written poorly and it bugged me enough that I didn't read them all. Karen has a way to bring the story to you so you can get the spiritual truth. God does work miracles. We need to recognize that He works them for us every day. We need to thank Him for our everyday miracles, too! May 27, Sandy rated it it was ok. This was not as engaging as the last book I read by her.

The stories were just okay and there were a few duplicates from the other book I read so I didn't like that. I was moved to tears at times, reading these stories. Many brought a smile to my face and a feeling of gratitude for having been able to share them.

The only thing that would have added to this collection, would have been color photos to begin each chapter, instead of the rather bland black and white snow scene that was used throughout this eBook. That would have added to the presentation overall. As far as the stories though, first rate! Geraldine Helen Hartman, author of: Laughing AT the Grim Reaper! Gems of Wisdom for Aging Well. As another reviewer noted, this is a very "new age" book with some superficial stabs at a Christmas tie-in.
However, this Christmas is not about the birth of Christ -- it's just a collectin of cosmic energy, cosmic love,angelic-messenger, go-toward-the-light kind of stories that happen to occur in mid- to late-December. For those who appreciate these types of stories, nearly all of the tales would be equally valid in mid-June or early September.

The final story features an extended description of the Christmas Day death of one of the author's young son. Of course, he appears a Christmas miracle to assure her that life is wonderful "on the other side. I certainly can't imagine sharing any of these stores with kids--especially not at Christmas! It's chock full of beautiful, inspirational short-stories of various real-life miracles that occurred during the Christmas Season. Each of the stories is relatively short, so this is one of those books that you can read a little at a time - perfect for those who don't have a lot of reading time.
Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is inspired by miracles - but make sure you have a box of tissues handy smile I was disappointed after my recent purchase of this book. I read the first few stories which were heartwarming, but then the stories started to change to be more farout and there were a couple of submissions from psychics.
The stories are not well documented and some of the stories leave you wondering if they are actually true. I'll admit the thought, "Is this for real? It appears to be a Christian book at first glance, but it is really New Age big time. Just wanted to let you know so if you have similar beliefs to myself, that you don't have the same uncomfortable experience that I did.
