The section on war seemed to outlay the huge waste of lives that was World War I. I was surprised to hear some of the insights into Benjamin Franklin's thought process and Thomas Jefferson's children that I hadn't learned before. I was delighted by Martin's sensible approach towards several problems such as Bullying, Drugs, etc. As for the structure of individual chapters, I feel like the author made a good choice to leave each chapter as an independent block without requiring references from previous chapters.
The book is very accessible to those not familiar with general semantics. Each section is amended with a short list of references that leaves me desiring more.
