Founded two years ago in St. Pete and spreading to Tampa. Now, Razzano hopes to achieve equal success in Sarasota.
Last night was no different, with Elizabeth Sims, author of the Lillian Byrd detective series, opening with the first chapter of her forthcoming Byrd novel Left Field. The turnout, roughly 40 people, mostly women, with ages ranging from the college writer to the been-around bard, was impressive for a debut event, but Razzano knows it will only grow with time, as words goes round just like it did in St. Pete and the community expands. Ground broke Thursday on a new student center and science, technology, engineering and math teaching facility at Out-Of-Door Academy's campus in Lakewood Ranch.
Wordier Than Thou brings creative minds together in Tampa Bay and has expanded to Orlando
On hand for the event were broadcaster Dick Vitale, whose five grandchildren attend the academy and whose name will adorn the student center, as well as Ariane Dart, who directs the Dart Foundation, the organization making the STEM addition possible. Head of School David Mahler said the center should become the epicenter of student life at the private college prepatory school.
Plans include a cyber cafe on the first floor. Rendering above courtesy Out-Of-Door Academy. Future versions were in coffee shops until Razzano found a permanent home at Studio The program is going strong now and Razzano took the opportunity to propose to her girlfriend of four years, Julie Fisher, at the Jan.

Her familiarity with public speaking, she says, made it easier for her to pop the question in front of 35 people that night. Wordier Than Thou unites a diverse crowd each month—and oftentimes a surprise will appear.
Once, a comedian and a ventriloquist showed up, which offered a new perspective in creativity. But for the most part, Razzano s that a lot of talented writers participate. She likes the features, which are published authors and professors, who share some of their published works at each event. Every participant is allowed 10 minutes at the microphone.
Tiffany has created a platform that revitalizes the written word to a growing culture in greater Tampa Bay. Razzano does not make a living from Wordier Than Thou. Austin Collins, a published author, has attended Wordier Than Thou for several months, and like many, benefits from the feedback he gets from the audience. As soon as you hear it out loud, however, especially in front of a group, you can immediately tell if it has rhythm and power.

Fiction and creative non-fiction writers needed their own outlet, a place to tell their stories to other writers or those who simply love to hear a good tale. That night, I contacted the owner of a venue in St. Petersburg that boasted a small black box theater that was perfect for what I envisioned.
By the next day, I had a date and started contacting every writer I knew or wanted to know. Our monthly open mics continue to bring out a bevy of talented local writers who are excited to share their work and interact with other wordsmiths. But we've also begun to expand.
