But it also features the real-life struggles of people in unconventional relationships. The good news is that, on the other side of all that drama and hard work, a happy ending awaits for Beth, Paul, and John. Having read the first in the series I look forward to reading books two and three to see how the lovers weather, not only the storm, but their individual fears, desires and needs. Great job Shanyn, keep up the good work.

The situations that occur at the office involving Beth and John are completely believable - I can totally see that happening as well as the situations surrounding Paul and his career.
I was a little sad to see the number of Beth's so-called friends who did not support her. Clearly she needs to reevaluate some of the people who are in her life. I also think the author did a great job of handling all the emotions each character is feeling in dealing with this type of relationship. Overall I was happy with the way this chapter in the story ended there's a third novel to come , and I'm curious as to how the author will wrap everything up.
It's clear what one of the characters wants for the future - but is that really possible? This is the second book in the series about John, Paul and Beth and their tradic relationship. Once again there is an odd mix of realism and exaggeration that, while over the top at times, works well and keeps you engaged.
The characters play off each other well and the sex scenes are hot but not numerous.
Are You an Author?
There is a real plot here and a real story being told. Overall I did enjoy this book and am eager to read the last book in the trilogy. Apr 10, Lisa rated it really liked it Shelves: Hoping there is a 3rd book to finish off the story. Oct 12, Henry Wente rated it liked it Shelves: In some ways, this was a very nice continuation of the sensual, full-fledged polyamorous relationship introduced in the first book.
It's great to have a novel-length exploration of a full menage involving two men and a woman a "triad" as opposed to a "vee". The physical exploration was very enjoyable and appreciated.

The problems arising from co-workers and friends trying to comprehending and judging a polyamorous relationship were interesting, but they seemed a bit repetitive without any real story direction. Also, I found Paul to be somewhat less sympathetic without leading to a specifically interesting or developed conflict, which was disappointing.
Overall, it read more like a narrative of a potentially growing relationship with some decent intimate tidbits , without the added enticement of an alluring plot or meaningful character conflicts. I'm hoping this "middle novel" is laying the foundation for more interesting developments and, of course, continued three-way action in the third book. This is proving to be a very good series. I'm loving the three main characters and how their relationship has developed and can't wait to read the final book for the conclusion. Lindsey rated it liked it Mar 07,
