The beach is unrivaled! With this being the busy time of year it was easier for us to find a restaurant that did not have an hour and a half to two hour wait off the island.
Current Beach Conditions
However, in the morning we found plenty of places to eat for breakfast that had no wait. There is plenty to do and see with other beaches being very close, lots of restaurants. Everything looks clean and well kept. It is now my beach of choice along the nc shore. It was off season but I can only imagine all the activities in season.
I visited in the off season and the local restaurant I visited did not seem able to handle the influx of spring breakers that showed up. Emerald Isle is the place to go if your looking for a family beach. Has lots of restaraunts and kid friendly attractions. Beach is full of shells your unlikely to find at Myrtle.
Favorite place to dine was Village Market. Also ate at Icehouse Restaurant which was a very nice find. Great spot for rainy days. Tons of games for the family and their food was awesome as well.
