I went to a preview expecting a good movie with a great message. Courageous turned out to be a great movie with a great message. My emotions ran from exhilaration to tears as the movie went from police action sequences that were very well done to scenes that brought out tears Lots of great acting. Bad buys were very bad, good guys were flawed. I would definitely recommend this. The audience I was with loved it. Both men and women. Not a chick flick but any lady that does not want her man to be "Courageous" need not see this.

With many stunning visuals and a stirring musical score that is easily the equal to Hollywood's finest, Day of the Gun is a very special movie indeed -- a class act all the way.
This is a traditional western about ordinary folks caught up in extraordinary times. The locations are eye-catching, Wayne's direction and the photography of his cameramen exceptional. The period is evoked well and the acting is uniformly impressive.

Eric Roberts plays gunman Abraham Tanner with subtlety and nuance. My pal Richard Cutting makes a supremely oily villain. Bailey as rustler Caleb Bateman is superb. But for me the show is stolen by the performance of Sam Lukowski as young Ned Carter. Sam is able to bring a real sense of pathos to his role that is not easily forgotten.
Moving, exciting, compelling, thoughtful, this is truly a movie to watch out for, and I urge you to support it when it becomes available.
