Logistical Population Model II. An Introduction to Scientific Notation A quick review of writing very large and very small numbers using scientific notation.

    NEW: Important notice

Mathematical Notation Learn the proper notation for representing numbers, sets, sums, and products. Introduction to Functions Learn the definition and properties of functions, how to perform mathematical operations on functions, and then practice what you have learned. Transformations Learn how functions are transformed and how to sketch the graph of a function by inspecting the equation. Then test your knowledge.

Utilizing Mechanistic Modeling to Accelerate and De-risk Drug R&D

Linear Functions Learn the definition of linear function, how to calculate the slope of a line, how to solve a linear equation, and how linear models are used in biology. Selected presentations will also be published in special issues of scientific journals. The conference continues a tradition of scientific meetings on Biomathematics held in Sofia since see Biomath forum. Rilski" , as well as the Union of the Bulgarian Mathematicians. Biomath School for Young Scientists The school comprises plenary lectures and sessions for contributed talks.

The lectures at the school are of more introductory nature giving foundations and insight into the respective topic rather then focusing on new results and are presented by some of the keynote speakers of the conference. A central event for the school is the Hot Topics Workshop. Several scholars act as moderators, presenting "hot areas" and related open problems.
