I read this in one day - a real page turner. Although I do love the series I have several remarks as a lay person. One is that there only seem to be superlatives in describing physical attributes, skills, events, houses, clothing, cars, etc. The good are all "angels" and seem to rarely experience day-to-day trials and tribulations that life gives us human beings.

When they do suffer it, again, is catastrophic, i. And their talents - faith healing, speaking in tongues, etc. Don't get me wrong: I love this as a romance, as science fiction no where does my faith have angels becoming human , and as a reminder of God, his word in the Bible and the fact that he can and does perform miracles. I expected Gregory to show up more frequently and to make more attempts, large or small, to foil this romance. Frankly, I expected his "father" to dispatch him in the failed attempts on Elizabeth and Darcy but there is another book.

Helm also does something that I question when I read it in other books name dropping - listing songs, etc. Yes, I know she taught music, but don't make me feel so inferior in my knowledge of classical or spiritual songs A few mentioned would have sufficed. The story line has been explained in the previous reviews so I won't go over that I loved the interweaving of scripture in the story and the sheer awesomeness of angelic beings.

My only criticism is that the human characters are too perfect, too formal. Their everyday life is too good. Their language is stiff. Having said all that, I thoroughly appreciated the depiction of the angels and made me much more aware of mine. I'd sure love to meet him one day, just to thank him for watching over what has to be one of the more boring humans he's ever been assigned. The awesome power of angels is wonderfully depicted in Robin's book.

Robin's story is also filled with biblical verses that will assure Christian readers that this is not a new-age type of novel. Thank you Robin for lifting up God's holy word and giving readers a glimpse into what may be going on that we mortals cannot see - the ancient and ongoing battle of good and evil. I especially enjoy the choice of using Gabriel and Michael, archangels, as protectors to Darcy and Lizzy.

This book is the big reveal for Darcy thanks to the evil manipulations of Gregory and Cassandra. Like "El", Darcy is a very talented musician.

However, sharing the dual nature of an Angel, his gifts far surpass those of a mere mortal. How will he fit into the everyday life of a young man? Will he be able to carry out his angelic tasks without drawing attention to himself? Much to Gregory's displeasure, Lucifer's son, El and Darcy hit it off. Very touching scene as Darcy experiences his first kiss. Although El calls Darcy her guardian angel, Darcy has never fully explained what he is.

Gregory uses this omission to his advantage, often causing conflicts in which the guardians are taken to task. During "SoulFire's" summer ministry the mission comes under attack.

Will humans cower to their fears or will they accept the challenge and search for truth? Robin Helm weaves this tale of struggle, love and devotion through her vast knowledge of the scriptures and her immense love of music. A very uplifiting story and one well worth the reading, no matter what your religious beliefs are. Can't wait for the conclusion in volume 3. The second book to this trilogy is even better. Darcy had now involved himself into Elizabeth's life and now it has begins.

Again I do agree with mostly all the reviews this story is simplying amazing. I found myself wanting more and more. This is an incredible look at the spiritual realm! I think Legacy might be my favorite of the three. This series inspires me to have betterfaith, work on my relationship with God, and be a better Christian. Talk about powerful literature! Here, Robin Helm paints a picture for readers of not only how one's relationship should be with God, but also how a relationship as a couple could, and should, be.

Xander and Elizabeth continually seek God in all things, enabling them to leave behind an amazing legacy. I found these scenes to be motivating for me in my own marriage. I was left asking myself, how often do I really seek God's help in becoming a better wife? See all Editorial Reviews.

Although I admire Ms. Helm's knowledge of the Bible and her imaginative story line of an intermix of angels and humans, the mark of the Beast, last times, etc. The angst was not between the two main characters, Darcy and Elizabeth, but for me worrying about where this was leading.

I have read the Twilight Series and see the comparisons other reviewers have made I am humbled by Ms. Helm's obvious Biblical knowledge. She uses scripture perfectly every time. I am sure that there will be another series to pick up where this leaves off. And I will especially recommend this book to others, especially as it does set an example of how we Christians should be praying always and putting all our cares on GOD.

Recommend it to all who like modern JAFF's. Absolutely wonderful ending to such a love story and the fight against evil on all sides. Robin has done a wonderful job of bringing our beloved Darcy and Liz into a modern setting that goes beyond the "normal" life we all lead. The touching story of friendships, family of all types and believing that prayer makes a difference in this world we live in.

This series was a breath of fresh air and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to consider a modern version of life for Jane's Darcy and Elizabeth. The final book is filled with suspense, intrigue, villains, love and friendship that goes beyond the norm. One person found this helpful. Just finished reading Legacy a few day ago. I must say I have enjoyed reading this trilogy. I will re-read over it again.

This was also not your typical couple in the real world and that prayers work but not as fast as it happens with Darcy and Elizabeth. Sometimes we have to be patience and wait on God. With them it happen instantly but I can understand for the book sakes not to run on so long she wrote it as see fit. Again, Great Bible referencing throughout and at the end of the book. I must say it was amazing to see the sacrifices that Darcy and Elizabeth was willing to make in the name of the Lord.
