There's quite a bit of explanation in this first book and sometimes it took over the story. That being said, I definitely finished the book curious about the next one and immediately looked up the release date so I could add it to my calendar. I'm giving this one 4. Totally unique world building and all centered on Moscow, with the Fallen Angels Goblins looking very much like the Russian Mafiaso. Following a bloody revolt in Heaven several thousand Dominion Angels are expelled, have their wings removed by Archangel Michael and fall to Earth.

They are promised if they find their soul mates and learn to love that they may return. Three thousand years later not one of them has found their soul mate and no one believes that promi I'm giving this one 4. Three thousand years later not one of them has found their soul mate and no one believes that promise. Mischka Baran goes to the Club run by Brends Duranov, looking for her cousin Pell who had a fight with her parents and ran off claiming she was going to Bond with an angel.

Goblins don't do anything for free, they negoiate and offer anything a woman wants as long as she Bonds with them and they can drink from her Soul. That was another thing that Michael ripped from them - their souls. The longer they go without drinking from a soul the thirstier they get and some go mad and need to be locked up in preserves. Whilst there were some character inconsistencies in the h towards the end of the book, overall it was quite well done and there was plenty of hot action. And of course there was a rogue angel to overcome so there was plenty of sword action as well.

I'm not saying any more or you won't read it. Nov 08, Jenne rated it it was amazing Shelves: I really liked this a lot. Very Anne Rice meets Nalini Singh. Writing this review makes me a bit sad. I think this book had a lot of potential and a fresh storyline. The book simply didn't hook me in. I started reading and then stopped. Some time later I started from the beginning again and was able to keep going. I liked the story about the Fallen, but I had a hard time liking the main characters. Mischka and Brends were ok, but it seemed to me that she was really quick to change her feelings and develop this deep love for him.

I think Dathan and Pell's r Writing this review makes me a bit sad. I think Dathan and Pell's relationship was more believable because they had been friends awhile, and I would have enjoyed reading more about their story. I'll check out the second book though. Brends and his brothers are out to find answers befor For my first experience into the world of the Fallen, Bond With Me was a whim in which I'm glad I choose. Brends and his brothers are out to find answers before their soul mates are taken from them. At times the storyline and character development is a little slow, but nothing that a few pages of erotica can't fix. All I can say is that you will not want to read this in a room full of people when a bonding scene takes place.

Aug 22, Emoore rated it it was ok. A little disjointed things happen and you have to go back and read to see if you missed something even in the sex scenes. I must say I'm not all about those scenes but when in one position and things happening that don't make sense kinda messes up flow of story And you haven't come to terms with the man but your sexing the beast In end got harder to read but did finish. The story is about Fallen Angels, in which Brends is a smoking hot angel just looking to taste the flavor. Mischka is looking for her family member that she believes made a grave mistake. As the story unfolds, we learn how the angels were cast out of the heavens, we learned there is a killer on the loose and we learn just how seductive these angels can be.

Adult tones, love, and choices. Aug 18, Catherine rated it liked it Shelves: The mythology of the fallen could have been interesting but I felt that it wasn't fleshed out very well. The action, actually just the writing in general, felt disjointed and it was not a very smooth reading experience. I had hopes for the inner strength of the heroine but said strength wasn't consistent and the relationship as a whole was pretty underdeveloped and unbelievable.

I never felt any actual emotion developing, just the standard lust. I actually found the side romance more interesting than the main one and wished we would have seen more of it. I just couldn't get into this book at all! I did finish it hoping it might get better I didn't like the author's writing style at all, it was difficult to follow at times and the story just fell flat for me. Most of the story was about sex, thinking about sex, someone else watching them have sex or dreaming about sex.

Brends Duranov is one such Fallen. G2 club owner, the enigmatic Brends holds court over the female humans who greedily offer up their souls for his all consuming pleasure. But only one woman snares his complete attention and her resistance only fuels the flames of his desire. Mischka Baran is searching for her wild cousin Pellinor. Fearing that she made good on her threat to bond with one of the Fallen, Mischka will do whatever it takes to find Pell and convince her to come home.

As far as Mischka's concerned, nothing is worth selling your soul for, especially to one of the detested paranormals. When her search leads her to G2 and Brends, Mischka's faced with the first man to ever shake up her temper and her hormones to mind numbing heights. He drives her crazy with his relentless pursuit and when he dangles his ability to locate her cousin as bait to the bond he desires, Mischka is determined to resist. That is until it's soon apparent that a blood thirsty, sociopathic rogue is after her and Pellinor. When a Goblin's beast overcomes its Fallen half, he goes rogue, hunting the streets for souls and blood.

To be a target of a rogue's hunt can only lead to death without the right protection and the threat is severe enough to have Mischka reluctantly succumbing to Brends's bond. Determined to bring down the rogue that's terrorizing his streets, picking off women and even one of his own Fallen brothers, Brends will do anything and use anyone to meet his goal.

When it becomes obvious that his rogue is after Mischka and her cousin, he sees the chance to bait his trap. Knowing where Pellinor is, he offers Mischka the favor of taking her to her cousin in exchange for her becoming his bond mate. Bonding with Mischka allows Brends to feed off her soul while he grants her the endless pleasure she desires. Once the bond is witnessed and the swirling tattoos arise along the flesh of their wrists and forearms, Brends can bury deep within Mischka's mind, see into her soul and siphone off the richness of her emotions but most importantly he can keep her safe as she's to be the lure for his rogue.

The only thing that Brends didn't prepare himself for is Mischka's tenacity, her need to control the situation as well as those around her including him. Her commands and snooty good girl behavior amuse Brends to no end and soon he's concentrating on turning her hot temper to boiling and breaking free the naughty girl deep within that craves release instead of focusing on the hunt.

Unlike any bond mate he's ever had, Brends tries to resist Mischka's allure, but the harder he tries to ignore the affect she has, the more he finds himself relenting to her pull and the fact that he can't nor will he ever let Mischka go. Horrified by the injustices in the world, Mischka's determined to help and do what it takes to stop the rogue that's after her and her cousin. Knowing she's bait doesn't necessarily give her much cause for concern for Mischka will sacrifice herself first before she'd let anything bad happen to her cousin.

Having always been jealous of her cousin's wicked and wild ways, Mischka resents her need to always be the good girl, always steadfast and reliable, but with Brends driving her to distraction the naughty girl she's always wanted to be finally breaks free.

Brends, while infuriating, strips Mischka free of her constricting good girl shields and in his arms, she doesn't have to worry about always doing what's right but instead she can do what brings her the most pleasure and that's Brends himself. When Brends releases her of the bond he ultimately manipulated her into, it doesn't take Mischka long to come to the conclusion that their bond was the best thing to ever happen to her.

Dark, mysterious, and practically leaking sensuality like a sieve, Brends has women all over falling at his feet, helpless in their desire. Sadly for them, Brends could care less. Mischka, at first just a means to an end, soon becomes the sole mantra of his thoughts. Her wants, her desires, and above all her safety become paramount to everything else. She changes his life in that for the first time in his three thousand years on Earth, Brends acts selflessly. Then again, those areas can easily be explained in future books which has me looking forward to the continuation of the series.

In some respects it drew focus away from the main protagonists because their romance happens so early on an so erotically that at the time, I was craving more of them rather than Brends and Mischka. Also, while the affects of Pell's bonding are wonderfully shocking, it unfortunately made made the affects of Brends and Mischka's bonding a forgone conclusion and I hate knowing what's to come in my reads. All in all, I enjoyed Brends and Mischka especially their first few meetings.

The dialogue between the two is positively smoldering allowing brilliant sexual tension that made the rest of their relationship burn up the pages. While the resolution with regards to Brends's past isn't nearly cleared up, his bond with Mischka is cemented giving readers their coveted HEA. And for fans of fallen angels, this is not a read that should be missed. Feb 11, Marnie rated it liked it. Good but hard to follow at times due to editing.

In turn, the Goblin half will grant one wish to the human and the man half provides pleasure beyond belief. Fallen Angels are not new, but to have them as incubi of sorts is a bit different.

Brends is one of the more powerful of the Fallen, a warrior of old. Now he is basically the head of the M-Towns supernatural and the Fallens warriors. Now he has a rogue on his hands, a Fallen that is killing human woman as well as his brother warriors. Her cousin is what brings her to G2, she would do anything for her beloved cousin Pell, even sell her soul to Brends.

So, I had a few issues with this book. First, scenes seemed to abruptly end unfinished and move on to an unrelated scene. In a similar note, you are dropped into this world with no real world building. It takes a while into the book before you truly feel comfortable in the new world that Anne March built. Then there is a secondary love story going on, which at times was more interesting them the primary love story, however, it is left very sparse on details.

It does not integrate with the rest of the story. A good example of integrating a secondary love story with the primary would be in Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh. The second story of Walker and Lara seamlessly integrates into the plot. There are enough details to feel like the story is complete and you know this couple. Next our heroine Mischka is a smart woman, but is really dense. Lastly, is this erotica or is this romance? If the characters are not thinking about sex, or talking about sex, then they are having sex and the character development suffers for it.

Ok, so all that being said, it was a decent book. It kept me engaged pretty much from beginning to end. I read it straight through and it kept me up. The concept is intriguing and a bit different, I like the unique. He knows what he wants and is willing to go for it. Mischka, like I said is smart, sassy and holds her own even against the Fallen. She does not take Brends shit and gives as good as she gets, which is why it was all that more annoying when she was being so damn dense.

She should have seen that set up from the beginning, it was that obvious. She is a good girl who wants to do bad things! The sex scenes are plentiful and erotic probably the most developed scenes of the book. The second book in the series I believe comes out soon. This review originally published on The Bookpushers: Out now How I got this book: Not even after Brends This review originally published on The Bookpushers: It looked like it fit those requirements so I decided to give it a try.

Well it certainly met those requirements and delivered more! Ms Marsh developed a really fascinating world that took some rather interesting twists on the reason for and what happened after the War in Heaven. After the War in Heaven things drastically changed for the Fallen, like the insatiable desire to feel although they lost the capacity to create their own feelings.

But if they allowed the need to satisfy that hunger to rule them, they would become hunted and imprisoned rogues loosing all chance of redemption. Each Fallen did have a chance to return to heaven, which involved a special woman, however after thousands of years had passed none of them had regained their wings so they stopped believing. The loss of that hope caused more and more of the Fallen to succumb to their hunger. I will just say that Angelic politics certainly played a role in that… Ms Marsh took a different approach with Bond with Me by including two couples in different stages of their relationships.

One had been slowly building over years so was more of a friends to lovers while the other was closer to a physical relationship that turned into love. I enjoyed the dichotomy between the two because I think it highlighted just how dangerous stereotypes and hasty decisions can be. I also got to see just how determined the Fallen could be in their pursuit of one particular woman even with throngs of others clamoring for their attention.

Each of the Fallen had their own distinct personalities with some more dominate then others but all of them would certainly be considered the Alpha type. Brends was certainly something else. He was such a contradiction as he kept his word, played by the rules and yet seized every advantage to get what he wanted. The catch was that Mischka had to be willing in order for the bond between them to actually happen.

Watching the interplay between Mischka, Brends, and his conscious as he maneuvered, manipulated and ultimately fell in love was very entertaining. Mischka made him work for every single thing he gained which I loved. During my re-read for this review I was captivated all over again. It was great seeing that a couple of years and hundreds of books later I still had the exact same urge to rush out and find the next book.

However, they stood accused of committing unspeakable crimes and were stripped of their wings and souls by the archangel Michael. Cast out of the Heavens, they've lived the last years on earth as Goblins, creatures that are half man and half beast, with one side constantly at war with the other.

When the beast takes over, it feeds on the souls of humans, craving the light and goodness that he was stripped of. A bond with one of the Fallen is powerful; in exchange for granting the Goblin his every sexual desire and the sweetness of her soul, the human gets her greatest wish fulfilled. It is at this club that Mischka Baron finds herself while searching for her missing cousin. Mischka despises all of the paranormals, and she fears that Pelinor has bonded with one of them. Brends Duranov is willing to help Mischka find Pelinor - for a price.

Bond with him, and he will grant her that wish. Though Brends is deliciously tempting she refuses him until it's discovered that a rogue Goblin is murdering the Fallen and their bondmates, and now he's after Pelinor and Mischka. Unknown to Mischka, she and her cousin are descendants of an ancient tribe whose bond with a Fallen would restore his wings and return him to heaven.

The killer will stop at nothing to prevent that from happening. She reluctantly agrees to bond with Brends and surrender her body and soul to him as long as he can find her cousin before it's too late. Anne Marsh has created a darkly erotic world set in the near future for her fallen angels in Bond with Me. The story had an intriguing premise: The book has a fast-paced plot that grips your interest until the end.

Throughout the book I was questioning who the true villains were and what was the real reason the Guardians were cast out of the Heavens. The conclusion was very satisfying, but only part of the conflict is resolved in the end which leaves an opening for future books. The love scenes scorched the pages throughout the book. Mischka refuses to bond with him for so long that the sexual tension is tangible. I'm really excited to see how this series continues and to see who our next hero will be.

When he meets Emma, who has just lost her job as an art teacher, she is attacked by an evil group called The Fallen. Cade and Emma are great characters, well rounded and very believable. The twist in the story is a great concept and the rules of good and evil are definitely blurred. The end could have been less of a cliffhanger. I will be looking for the sequel to find out some unanswered questions. Being a romance novel it was a bit predictable, but that only made it more endearing. Loved the use of words only used by the members of the groups.

As a SciFi lover, I wanted more about the Fallen and Cade's group, the Behnshma, but still an excellent concept and a book worth reading. With thanks to Lilac Reviews. Only they did a lot better. Fallen Redemption was a book that I enjoyed, but parts left me frustrated. We get a brief glimpse of how he came to be immortal. I immediately liked Emma and found her to be brave, intelligent and quite capable of handling Cade. Fallen Redemption is your classic good vs. The author gave us moments with Emma and Cade, but also gave us equal time with the intense action scenes.

We briefly meet secondary characters, and while they were not fleshed out, we learned enough to have me curious. It kept the pace intense, and while I had a basic understanding of the battle, who they were and where they came from I needed back-story. While the book is part of a series and the answers will come, it seemed to cut off entirely too soon.

Moments with the Fallen were not detailed enough, leaving me to scratch my head and I found myself going back thinking I had missed something. Despite wanted more details regarding the world and these supernatural creatures, I found Fallen Redemption to be an engaging read and plan to read the next book in the series.

Austin creates compelling characters that show a range of emotions. The development of the main characters, Cade and Emma, are believable and inspired. Austin was able to write the characters in a way that make the readers care about what is going on. These other characters are compelling as well, and could certainly be main characters in later books in the series. I wanted to learn more about them — just not yet. Austin does a nice job of not letting too many people get in the way of the main story.

The paranormal romance is believable. Emma was brought to the compound because she was attacked by a Fallen one of the bad guys and needed to be healed. Her initial reaction is that she has been kidnapped, and is frightened. However, as she realizes she is not a prisoner, she lets her guard down. As expected with paranormal romances, there were sex scenes, but none of them felt dirty or gratuitous. May have received a free review copy. Sep 16, T. Emma is also the typical girl in distr I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Emma is also the typical girl in distress on some levels. At first I worried that RB Austin would allow her female character to become a cardboard cutout. Instead, she gave Emma a strong voice. Actually, her internal dialogue is often humorous. The romance comes at you fast and then slows down some.

For the most part I enjoyed the romantic elements. However, some of the lines were super cheesy. There are a few others. It didn't ruin the book for me.

But I'm a fan of cheesy lines that make me laugh. Overall, I enjoyed the novel. At times I actually forgot the novel was about bloodsuckers. Dec 22, Ailyn rated it it was amazing Shelves: Both characters find themselves stumbling their way into a relationship. Cade is someone or something that was charged to protect humans from the dangerous world of Fallen, soulless things that only know how to hurt and consume.

Although the story line is nothing new, the characters and the careful planning helps establish a unique combination that manages to keep me interested. First we have Cade, a mess of a man, someone riddled with guilt and self- loathing after what had happened to his first wife back in When he met Emma, a beautiful person inside and out, his protective streak comes flaring back. This causes some conflict and it was fun to read, the supportive characters were there to cause more trouble. From being fired to getting sloshed at the bar on the way home she shows a type of character that is very rare in fiction these days. She gripes, and moans, yet she is determined to stand on her own two feet. And I had a crazy laugh at her descriptions and view points throughout the story. This was a great start to what promises to be an amazing series.

Love Cade he's dealing with a lot of issues, inner struggle, forgiving himself and deep desire. I thought the writer captured his part perfectly. Emma's character after her and Cade grew feelings for each other cannot replace him in her mind, she can't come to terms with him not being there or having her memories erased, her hallucinations and thoughts she was dealing with was a powerful thing.
