There are only two of us and our little dog in this thing and I still have trouble knowing where to store stuff. I am so impressed with your skills.

We are in Apache Junction and have just started thinking about the trip home. Happy and safe travels for you family. Thanks Ann — I noticed that on my phone this morning! No worries — while we may be soon starting for home, we are not in a hurry — we have a month to get there.

Dana — I have enjoyed reading your blog, it is very inspiring. We are self employed family with 5 kiddos our oldest is married so only 4 at home It is looking like we are going to go on the road within the next year. We have already made the decision to return to homeschooling next year we will finish out this year do to work schedules but in an effort to stay employed in this economy we will have to literally chase the work.
At first I was sure my husband was crazy but the more I am reading about it the more I want to hit the road tomorrow! I just wanted to Thank you for sharing your life with those of us who need encouragement. We are not at the point of discussing this with family yet so putting it in print here is kind of liberating! So much so that this year dressed up a wee bit for the festival… While Savanna, Molly, and I stayed home, the rest of the fam braved the heat and spent this past Sat. This mime or jester or whatever you call him, would stand on his marble pedestal and not move, like a statue. Then, when someone would come up with a dollar to put in his pot or give to him, he would squeak and slowly bend and reach down and take it or do some other little movement.
From what I can see on the pictures the outdoor cars look like there is benches to sit on? I'm still ok to walk around, I always have someone with me, and as long as I can sit I'm fine. I have the wheelchair for things like the festival where there is no way I could walk around and see everything. Thanks so much for the input.
The Arizona Renaissance Festival – or Ren Fest…
I used to have no limits, even extreme sports, so it's hard to know what I will be able to do or not without input from people that have done these things. The Festival sounds just great. I used to ride, so I know the Jousting will be fantastic. The falconry shows too sound great, I love birds.
Arizona Renaissance Festival
Part of why I was considering the train since they say it's eagle spotting season. Yes, the observation cars do have benches.
The problem is that a lot of people stand along the side rails for a better view, which can block views for people sitting. I would have to say the bird thing settles it. There are no guarantees you will even see any birds on the rail. And even if you do, they will be pretty far away. At the RF you are assurred you will see the birds and be close enough to count the feathers. I'm so glad I had signed up for notifications from AZ or I wouldn't even have known about it.
