In contrast to the Soviet solution, where political opponents regarded as the enemy disappeared en masse without a prison sentence, in Hungary in most cases they went through all levels of the justice system. The Judiciary was not organized in accordance with the generally accepted principles of law in Europe, but everything was subjected to ensuring a successful conduct of criminal proceedings.

Therefore, an unavoidable issue is the analysis of those proceedings that can be labelled as concept trial or show trial. Proceedings based on script did not appear as a specific model among the Hungarian criminal trials, but were rather present in almost all areas of criminal prosecution, following the three decades after World War II, in the period between and the s.
