Sadie has a past that she is trying to leave behind when she transfers to a new college her junior year. Sadie wants a new life, a fre I had the pleasure of being a beta reader for Michelle, so I got to meet Brady before the rest of the book world did. Sadie wants a new life, a fresh beginning where no one knows her past.

Sadie knows that using sex to cope was not helping ease the pain that she was feeling. When she transfers school, she vows that she will not be intimate with anyone, she has a new found respect for herself. While attending a house party with her roommate, Jessa she feels uncomfortable and wants to leave.

As she is leaving the party, she literally bumps into a hot guy and loses her balance. He accuses her of being drunk, and doesn't want her to leave and drive home. He convinces her to stay and watch his band perform, but while he is on stage, Sadie makes a run for it. The hot guy that bumps into Sadie at the party is Brady Carsen.

Brady is immediately attracted to Sadie. He can not keep his eyes off of her. Brady needs to see Sadie again. When he realizes that she left her iPod behind at the party, he uses that as his opportunity to see her again. Brady wants to get to know Sadie, but Sadie is hesitant and keeps pushing Brady away. She knows that she won't be able to give him what he wants. Sadie does not want a relationship and she will not have sex with anyone. Brady will not take no for an answer and pursues Sadie. There is just something about this girl that he is drawn to.

The chemistry between the two of them is off the charts. Sadie thinks that Brady deserves better than her. Sadie has a past, one that she doesn't think that Brady will be able to accept. Little does Sadie know, Brady has a past as well. Both Sadie and Brady have secrets that they are keeping. Will Sadie trust Brady with her past? Will Brady tell Sadie the secret that he is keeping from her?

Sadie built a wall around her heart, and little by little, Brady is chipping it away. Will Brady be able to convince Sadie to let him in? Brady fell hard for Sadie. Brady knew how he felt about Sadie, but wasn't sure Sadie felt the same way. I hope you love me half as much as I love you. You'll have to in order to deal with this bullshit. Will Sadie be able to face the demons of her past? Does Sadie blame herself? Can Sadie ever forgive her father for her accusations? Does Sadie's mother feel the same way?

Sadie needs to let go of the past in order to move on with her future. Brady needs to tell Sadie about his past, so he can move on with their future. Will Sadie still love Brady when his secret is revealed? You'll have to read the book to find out for yourself.

Throughout the book we meet several sub-characters. Jessa, Sadie's roommate, Brady's band mates, and Grant, Brady's best friend who he hasn't spoken to in years. Grant knows the secret that Brady is keeping from Sadie, but he never reveals it. He feels as though that is Brady's story to tell. Grant seems like a genuine nice guy and sparks fly between he and Jessa when they meet at a frat party that Brady and his band are performing at. I have to say, that I absolutely loved this cast of characters.

Don’t Let Go

I think the connection between all of them felt very real. I felt as though I could have been friends with them. Michelle did a fabulous job with Don't Let Go. I not only read it once, I read it twice. Each time I read it, I fell more in love with Brady. He is so charming, respectful and loving.

He loved Sadie unconditionally. I am looking forward to reading Grant's story in October as well as what is in store for the rest of the group. I rated a 4. Check out this review and others at www. I can't stop reading him. His story was to short and ended abruptly in my opinion. I was sooo excited and turned the page to see it is over Ok so this book is about 2 people with baggage Sadie blames herself for the death of a loved I rated a 4.

Sadie blames herself for the death of a loved one while Brady hides his family secret ashamed of what people will think. The two meet at a bar when Brady's band is read to go on stage. He didnt stalk her per say but when he saw he he went out of his way to meet her. She totally blew him off in a major way. The two begin to date but Sadie knows that once she has relations with him, he will be gone like every other guy she knows. Brady knows something is up and wont push her but they are both head over heals.

When she is drunk and says " i love you theo" while Brady holds her, yeah he insists she break the wall. Brady and Sadie move is a great direction until she takes Brady home to meet Mom and dad. Dad is a jerk and mom is "polite" but her grandma is a RIOT!! They continue their relationship but Brady is hiding secrets. When Sadie finally figures them out, Brady tried to push her away. The 2 are so perfect for each other but are so scared to hurt the other.

With the help of friends and even family the two have a great ending. My favorite scenes are when Brady describes how they will spend their "first time" and all that will happen He wanted to see a wet t-shirt show. I had to laugh. The two of them have such a fun and amazing relationship. I cannot wait for Grant's book!!!! Sep 12, K. This was a very good, generic love story. There were a lot of over-used cliches that made this book a bit boring and unexciting.

At the same time, this love story unfolded in a tried and true way that is always nice to read. Sadie transfers from Drayton to a new school her senior year of college. She has secrets, and she is afraid to get involved with anyone. Brady Carsen is in a band and he has secrets too. Brady has a faux-hawk so he is a "bad boy" and Sadie has designer clothes so she is a "p This was a very good, generic love story. Brady has a faux-hawk so he is a "bad boy" and Sadie has designer clothes so she is a "princess".

How could they ever make it work? I think, in this day and age, it is pretty obsolete to use the cliche "boy from the wrong side of the tracks". That type of dynamic is no longer realistic. In our modern society, I am almost certain that college kids don't really give a crap about socio-economic disparities and their parents relative income. For the most part, kids gravitate towards like-minded people and that is all. It is hard to understand why anyone would have a problem with Brady.

He is smart and lives in a nice house, and his father was a professor. He is obviously not a bad kid. He doesn't even have tattoos! Similarly, there is nothing especially prissy or waspish about Sadie. She lives in the dorms and goes to class and wears jeans and t-shirts. For the most part, I can't see anything especially different about them.

I wish we could just leave this cliche in the past, it feels really antiquated. One thing I didn't get was Rob's antagonistic behavior towards Sadie. It was never really explained that well and he never redeemed himself.

Anyways, despite Sadie's somewhat unsettling past, and Brady's secrets, they really do love each other. Story of Sadie and Brady, college students who seem like opposites but actually have more in common than they think. Both have past and present issues they need to deal with.

I'm on the fence with this one. I kept wanting to stop reading at certain points in the book; this was another I-have-a-tragic-circumstance-in-my-past-which-I-can't-reveal-to-my-current-boyfriend-otherwise-he'll-leave-me kind of story.

The writing was fine -- not outstanding, but fine -- written in present tense which I enjoyed. However, I had issues with the main characters and how their backgrounds were formed. For example, Sadie due to circumstances in her past, turned to sex to deal with her issues not. Apparently she got around quite a bit, earned a reputation of slut. It didn't quite add up for me. This is really 2 stars, but I gave it an extra star for the lack of typos. Get ready to fall in love with Brady Carsen ladies!

All the elements were there, just not totally executed. Mar 22, Lesley Book Lover rated it liked it Shelves: An average read, maybe 3. Aug 24, Fiction State Of Mind rated it liked it.

Coyer Summer Bash This was a good read! The romance was very good too. Oct 29, Megan rated it really liked it. Loved the storyline, and the book was hard to put down. I felt like too much of the book was squished into the ending rather than having secrets unfold throughout the story. Nov 18, Danielle from Short and Sassy rated it it was amazing. Don't Let Go (Love)

Are you ready to read a fantastic story about college kids who act like normal everyday college age students?? Then this is the book for you! If you think this book is just like every other college girl meet another rocker guy, think again. This was a refreshing story about more than that. This a brilliant story about people who Are you ready for smart, sweet, college student storyline that is not like the rest of them? This a brilliant story about people who have their share of problems, but face them head on.

The characters are fantastic. Sadie is a girl who is broken. But she is not unfixable. She realized she needs to make a change in her life and deals with it head on. Sadie is reeling from her past. She has dealt with a trauma and rather then working through it, she decided for a while to make it go away by using sex. When Sadie realizes this is not how to deal with her problems, she starts her senior year of college at a new college far away from her family and past.

A fresh start from her old life. At her first college party of the year she meets Brady Carsen. He is a hot college guy that she literally falls into. He also happens to be in the band that is playing at the party that night. Sadie is not looking for a hook up or a relationship, so when Brady starts to flirt and asks her to stay, she bolts as soon as she can. Brady doesn't want to let Sadie get away. He shows up at her dorm and leaves his music for her to listen to. He is winning her over slowly but surely. Brady is the guy you want your daughter to bring home from college. He is mature, intelligent music with a good head on his shoulders.

He is in a band, but knows this isn't his career. The band is a hobby when engineering is his career. He is hot, caring, patient and kind. Brady has been dealt a crappy hand in life, but it doesn't knock him down. I think it makes him more mature. Sadie finally gives Brady a chance but because Brady has secrets and Sadie has secrets, it is hard for them to open up completely to each other.

There are many components to this books. Love, secrets, family issues, friendships, frats, crazy girls, you name it. The way Michelle Lynn tells the story, it is so on point that it makes and engaging story that you will not want to put down. I absolutely loved it. There was just enough mix of all the right elements that made this a great story. Becky's Book Blog shared a page: Options for this storyI ran into these books that I am about to write about by Michelle Lynn accidently and can I say how happy I am that I did..

I can not really remember how it fell into my lap but I am glad they did! Then you have Gabe.. There is this HUGE twist that almost made me throw my kindle down and say oh hell no I am not reading this but once I decided to pick it up and continue reading I sooo was not disappointed! This book had me from the first chapter and I adored every minute of it!

Sadie is looking for a new life away from her old life read the book you will see why and Brady is the man for the job.. Actually, this book is FULL of secrets! Some easily figured out, others not so easy! I will not give up anymore with these books as you all know I refuse to however, you need to one click and jump on the Michelle Lynn bandwagon, I am sooo glad I found her and I have fallen in love with her books!

Nov 21, Desirae Dee rated it really liked it. When I first read the synopsis for this book I was worried. But, I needn't be worried. This didn't follow the normal band guy is a ladies man, virgin college girl storyline. It was quite the opposite. Yes they fall in love. But she's a slut turning herself around starting over at a new school and he's known he's wanted her since he saw her.

Knew she was it. See- quite the difference. And she's the one fighting it. I thought this was super cute. I couldn't When I first read the synopsis for this book I was worried. I couldn't quite figure out what was going on with Jessa. I could tell she had a secret, but most of the characters do. Some are bigger, Brady and Sadie, and some aren't so bad, Grant.

But that's what Brady is for. Back to their secrets. Both of them think these are deal breakers and are so dang scared to let people in. They don't realize how having the right person in your life means there are no deal breakers. For Sadie, when you meet her parents, you kind of see why she's been carrying this blame. Her dad is an asshole.

No other word for it. It was like instant button pusher for me. Who says that shit! Freakin rich snobby bastards. For Brady, he really shouldn't be ashamed. He can't make anyone so something that they don't want to. You can't make someone get help. That is where I wanted to slap him upside his head.

Stand up for your man, your relationship. He stood up for you in front of all those people. Then Once she goes back to the hospital I was like finally!! I kind of wish she would've bumped her head when she sat up! Can I just say I totally love Grandma Ida. I think that will be me when I'm old! My daughter and granddaughter better totally be prepared for me to tell her I want to get action and when I think a man is hot!

She may be old but she's not blind! I thought this book was really cute I liked it. There are no discussion topics on this book yet.
