My one object has been to prove to those who do not believe it, that the existence of Prostitution in our land, is due to the fact that women are not treated a, or believed to be, the equals of men; that as long as the economic dependence of one sex upon the other exists, so long will Prostitution as a profession exist; and that the first step in securing the economic independence of women, is to give them the vote.
