She had me getting out my Bible before I was even finished reading the introduction! Ayala was led to choose for that day. With some Bible study books one can read the scripture and commentary and feel that they have finished their Bible study; without ever opening the Bible. Ayala has written just the verse for the day. Some of them I recognize and know the story behind it, while other days have me going to my Bible to find out what is going on around the chosen verse. And, isn't that what a Bible study book should do? Have you digging deeper into the word of God.

Alexia Miller on July 3, The neat thing about this one is that it has bible verses that are correlated by month and day to chapter and verse.
What does this mean? It means that January 1 quotes the verse from Genesis 1: It is fun to look up special days such as your birthday or anniversary. Because each day is only one verse it is a quick read, but still gives you something to think about for the entire day. I downloaded this book onto my iPhone so that I have it with me at all times. You never know when you will have a second to dive into God's word.
Another cool aspect about this book is that it has memorization tips for learning verses by rote. I am terrible at this and I have found that the tips do help. Currently I am learning Psalm 23 and I need any help I can get! The only thing I may change is that the verses are taken from the King James Version of the bible.

I myself find this version difficult to understand and would prefer the New King James Version. This is a great, handy little book. Perfect as a conversation starter or as a way to share the word of God. Who wouldn't be curious to find out what verse their birthday is?! I hope others find it as useful, as there are so many bible apps and devotionals available today.
Luckily, the price is right at. An excellent introduction to Bible study, or a help for anyone who is trying to commit Scripture to memory, this would also make a great gift for a student or new Christian. I received this book free from the author. I was not required to write a positive review.

I keep it by my bedside and when I wake up each morning I read the inspiration for the day and then repeat it throughout the day to reinforce the message. This is a great book for people who are always in a hurry. When I was a small child, my babysitter and her husband would take my brother and I to their church and Sunday school with them. A part of Sunday school that I enjoyed was learning and memorizing bible verses. I can still remember how much effort I put into memorizing every line of the 23rd Psalm so that I could recite it with no prompting. For years when I would lie awake in my bed alone after a nightmare, I would recite those words to myself: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
For example, my wedding anniversary date is April 28th The bible verse for that day is: The verse for today, July 21st I imagine it was a massive undertaking to review the bible verses that correlated with each day of the year and choose just one daily! With Your Daily Bible Verse, it is clear to me that Rachelle Ayala intended to encourage her readers to dedicate themselves to the memorization of bible verses. Additionally, I imagine she hoped that her selections would encourage us to pick up our bibles and spend more time with the Word.
For me, personally, I have found that the verses offered in Your Daily Bible Verse are short, yet intriguing. At these times I find it especially important to pick up my preferred translation, the New Life Version, and delve further into the selection. I recommend Your Daily Bible Verse for anyone who is interested in committing bible verses to memory or setting a goal of daily bible reading! This is well thought out, and would make such a great gift! Not to mention, it is wonderful to have these close by for us to use each morning, kids included. I especially like the back pages where she gives some very easy steps on how to memorize a Bible Verse. She makes it seem so easy even when I always found this to be a little complicated.
I can memorize numbers, lol, I have phone numbers, loan numbers, account numbers, credit card numbers, some from several years ago that aren't even active any longer, but for some reason, memorizing script has always been an issue with me.

Although, since using Rachelle's Bible Memorization Tips, I have to say this has helped tremendously! I really appreciate the effort she put into this and she has helped make this a new tradition in our home with the little ones. They actually ask each morning, "What is our verse of the day mommy? We have already read through, Your Daily Bible Verse, and I am pleased with the verses the author chose to include in our daily discussions and memorizations.
There are so many beautiful verses in the Bible and you can find of them here. Another good point about this book, is that again, this would make a great gift for practically anybody, but it will be used and re read again and again and again and again. I do have the paperback edition, but even the Kindle would be great which by the way it is free today January 7, , so if you need a copy, I would pick it up asap. The other thing my family had fun with, was looking up our birthdays to see the verses that are listed.
These are also special because they are like our own verses, and each of the kids, with the exception of our not so talkative talking 2 year old, Deegan , has memorized.

Deegan is working on it, lol, but he does love sitting together at the kitchen table with his cereal, siblings and whatever toys he brings to the table, and listening and contributing to our now, new morning talks. So each day there is a different verse that correlates to whatever day it is.
But my favorite part of the whole book is the last page where it has tips on how to memorize a Bible verse. Memorization of the Bible is something that does not seem to be as popular as it once was. I don't think people even talk about it like they did when I was growing up. I was a champion when it came to memorizing Scripture, but as an adult, I have kind of fallen off the wagon.
This book has a different verse to memorize for each day of the year. All verses come from the King James Bible, and all verses are correlated to the month and day. For examp I think the concept behind this book is amazing! This is unique idea, and I plant to enjoy memorizing more verses as I follow the book this year.

The only thing that I would have preferred to be different are the verses are in King James format and I am partial to NIV or New International Version but that is just my personal preference. Other then that I think that is book is perfect.

We have about twelve all over the house that I always forget to flip each day. I love how each verse has its own day, its like I own this day. My personal verse is Luke 9: My whole family absolutely enjoys this book each and everyday. We will probably read one verse as a family everyday at breakfast or dinner. For me I have to use this book differently. I used it as a living word. What spoke to me wasn't necessarily the day it was. I do use this book every day. I sit and open it and it shows me what I need for the day.
