No one else noticed the sight except an elderly woman who startles her by hitting her in the head and telling her not to stare because that she would jeopardize them all.
The old woman continues to call Mac an O'Connor which she does not understand. Days later Mac visits a local store by the name of Barrons Books and Baubles where she meets a mysterious man by the name of Jerricho Z.

There has been no further news regarding the movie. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Archived from the original on 29 June Retrieved 5 April Retrieved 7 May This series is definitely an exception. It did have drawbacks. It was long, at times very drawn out mostly toward the end , and thoroughly confusing.
But in her defense, it does keep you interested. You become desperate to know what happens. You root for good to trump evil and you rethink what it means to be either one. I was so drawn in to this story and the unforgettable, gripping characters. Mac and Barrons are damn near perfection. This is the ultimate slow burn.
Their tension is so powerful.

They make you feel so much by doing and saying next to nothing. Take a step out of your comfort zone and read these books. You need to experience this world and these characters. Karen Marie Moning did great with the prologue, catching up with what happened in book 1.
Mac still annoyed me but not as much. I wanted more character growth then what I got. Plot wise I also I wanted more. I still feel that there is more about her sisters death.
Fever Series
Again this book did not wow me but still was unable to put down. I am just waiting for something to shock me, I did not see coming. I know the plot has a lot to do with finding the Sinsar Dubh black magic book but for some reason I am more interested in her sisters death. Again no romance but I am starting to see Barrons and V'lane showing signs of interest in her.

This is not a love triangle. They both have their reasons for needing her help. V'lane I am starting to get a little curious about. Barrons really caught my attention more in this book. I know there is so much more to him. I really need to know who and what is in his garage basement, who does the second phone number belong too if can not get in touch with Barrons.
I am loving their banter and bickering. Hopefully I will get more in book 3. I am re-reading this series for the third time. The first time reading, I sped-read and caught the story itself. Mac is so relatable, believing herself to be a normal, average person. I adore that she is honest about who she is and knows what she likes. While she may no longer wear pink, have pretty nails or shiny blonde hair, he newly developing persona Mac 2.
