Great location on a hill overlooking Samara. The property was beautiful. Everything was perfect the owner and her staff are super friendly and helpful. We can highly recommend the hotel even though it is a bit outside of town. We even ordered food once.
Las Ranas, Puebla
Staff helps you booking your tours or food if you don't want to leave the property for lunch or dinner. Staff is well aware of wildlife in the neighbourhood. Wildlife even comes and visit you during breakfast. Las Ranas is a short drive out of town on a beautiful hill side. There are 10 condos with a pretty view! Breakfast was tasty and they had like 5 options. The staff was extremely friendly and helped with everything. I would stay there again. Very kind and friendly staff. This lodge is situated in a beautiful place. The area where you can take breakfast is nice, also with a view on the ocean.
But what makes the place extra special is the variety of animals you can see. The howler monkeys have stolen my heart. The rooms aren't very big but that's not really a problem because you are living outside. Breakfast is ok, but nothing special. But the other thing that makes the place so special is Bryan.

He's always smiling and ready to help you. One evening we went on a trip with him to a nearby beach to see the turtles. It was a wonderful evening. We saw a baby turtle trying to find his way to the sea. And a big turtle who was lying here eggs and then going back into the sea. On our way to the lodge we even saw 2 crocodiles.
This evening was magical. It's better to have a car because Las Ranas is not really in the center of Samara. But that was also the reason why we choose this lodge, to stay in a more remote place. I would definitely stay here again. Staff can recommend various activities incl.

Staff was fantastic and hooked us up with a rare off-season turtle egg laying visit and great horse ride to the beach. The staff was great, especially Kike and Brian. This little gem was the best value for money on our entire trip to Costa Rica.

Bottom line, this place leaves me longing remember my moms cooking on the weekends. I definitely recommend for everyone to give it a try. I'm positive you won't be disappointed! Came here last night with about 25 mins before closing! The gentleman who answered the phone and took our order was very sweet!
He got the order perfect despite my family and they're specifications. No onions on one no guac on the other blah blah blah. Ack and it was perfect! This is our first time eating here since it was sold a few years back. We were very sad to see the old place go but maybe not so sad since Las Ranas is what we get in its place. The durado tacos were crispy and perfect!

We are located a short distance from Samara and the beach which allows guests to take short 15 min walk or an inexpensive taxi ride if they so choose.
