Sister Grahl is a stake Young Women presidency counselor. She served with her husband in the Brazil Brasilia Mission and is a former stake Relief Society president and ward Young Women president. On a personal note, Elder and Sister Grahl kindly hosted my wife Marcia and I and a group of us former missionaries at their country home near Embu das Artes, SP, a few years ago.
He speaks excellent English. His life has been one of continued faithful and capable service in the kingdom. We had a marvelous super reunion at Orem on October 1. A big thanks to all who helped with organization and shared many talents, under the capable direction of Sister Leuri Zibetti. Great food, good fellowship, and a fine evening meeting. Again, thanks to all. Thanks to contributions, the reunion expenses were covered and the reunion fund was replenished. So we will aim for another super reunion in three years.

He sends us this link to a marvelous and inspiring minute video about all the miracles and that happened and are still happening, showing how it was possible for the Lord to bless the Mozambican people with the organization of the first two stakes in that beautiful country. Take time to see this! Very well done; in Portuguese with English subtitles, published in October I am deeply moved to know a little more of what you accomplished.
Elder Ellis spoke highly of you and Sister Kretly at the missionary reunion.

I think back at when I read, years ago, of pioneer brother Francisco Dique-Souza of Marromeu, Mozambique, and was pleased to see Maria in the film. I cannot be there, but I feel a great love for the saints there. I will share this video with readers of the Brasulista when I can. For now I am off to Brazil for a couple weeks, on tour and visiting my brother Ronald. How about our great alumnus, John S.

We weren't expecting to be serving a mission now, but got a surprise phone call from Salt Lake asking us to serve as the Visitors' Center Director at the Hill Cumorah, which includes all the historical sites in the area. It's pretty great to be living at the base of the Hill Cumorah and we have daily spiritual experiences as people come to see these significant, sacred sites.
Someday, we will make it back to our beloved Brazil, but for now, the Lord wants us here. We invite everyone to come see us. Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving holiday. We enjoyed our first real snowfall the other day.

I just thought you might like to know that my wife, Pam, and I have been called to serve a Member Leadership Support mission in Manaus, Brazil. Our scheduled MTC date is January Knowing the problems with obtaining a visa, we were expecting a delay. However, last Monday I received an email from Church Travel advising that they had received our visas! Talk about a miracle.

We submitted the visa applications on October 15 and we received them on November So now, going is a reality. Gratitude is born in hearts that take time to count up past mercies. Not what we say about our blessing, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.
He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has. Grace isn't a little prayer you chant before receiving a meal.
It's a way to live. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, justice and gratitude. Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness. There is not a more pleasante exercise of the mind than gratitude.
Thanks are the highest form of thought; and gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. With one eye on today's blessings you will have more staying power for the distant goal.
