I had the pleasure of reading his book and have referred to it many times. He is a good friend of my husband who also resides at Rayburn. Cornell is an exceptional man who has learned from his mistakes and has grown into an excellent writer and a beautiful black man.

I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in understanding how to avoid the potential mistakes men make in relationships. Chris and I have mad love for you Cornell! Not half as offended as I am appalled. I oly read the part of the book that was free, it should all be free. First, I would be appalled at anyone who without know me made the assertion that I'm stupid without knowing anything about me. Second, to assume that women are exempt when they choose the man in most cases. Rather that encourage women to make better more responsible choices the author asserts to put the blame for male behavior or miss-behavior on all men.
Why read this garbage. Any ex-convict that writes a book is not entitled to put me down. In most cases choose men based on their height, hair, and abs more than his educational background, or his family upbringing, or his ability to manage his own finances or maintain a job.

In other words having a set of prison abs is much more important than a man's job to most women. Women blame yourself for your poor choice in men. I'm not saying that men don't have more than their share of problems but it is you who chose to lay with them.
Find out how he got that money to get that fancy car before you get in for the ride. Ask to see his ID, find out what his living situation is, ask about his financial history, know where he works and verify. I have never had a woman in my life whom I would not let talk to my ex- women talk to the ex. Do your homework and know who you are sleeping with. Take responsibility for your own actions.

I think he is a great author and speaking from a real black mans point of view. Society encourages Literally ever race to put down black woman ,and the black man whether he has hatered for a black woman or despise dating black women fake black men will agree with society but its until a REAL BLACK MAN calls it for what it is!
