If you are experiencing a fluctuation of nightmares taking a new medication, talk to your doctor. Sleep deprivation is one of the major causes of nightmares. Reasons for lack of sleep include work, stress or depression. Sleep Apnea and Restless Leg Syndrome can also contribute to nightmares.
