LT 064 - Dr. Volker Nolte - Rowing Faster

This is probably about as good as a sports science book can be, in terms of readability and information density. Feb 03, Meredith rated it did not like it. I was excited about reading this book, but it was very disappointing - it was not just colossally boring, but also did not add much to the body of knowledge.

The technical stuff was dry as sand, presupposed that the reader understands a lot of jargon, and had no diagrams or photos. The nutrition stuff was based on the conventional low-fat high-carb dogma that is thirty years out of date and completely wrong. Most of the rest of it was poorly written sociological gobbledygook that often skated aw I was excited about reading this book, but it was very disappointing - it was not just colossally boring, but also did not add much to the body of knowledge.
