Amid an already fragile equilibrium of secrecy, and the increasing disasters ascribed to the dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, Newt's precious suitcase will be lost--and to make matters worse--several creatures will manage to escape. Before long, this situation will catch Senior Auror Percival Graves' attention who will target Newt, in the background of an invisible, devastating, and utterly unpredictable menace that still wreaks havoc on 5th Avenue.
In the end, is there a hidden agenda behind Graves' intentions; moreover, what will happen to the remaining fantastic beasts still loose in the streets? Written by Nick Riganas.
I have to say that I am really disappointed of the movie as a whole. The Harry Potter movies are easily one of the best and most rewatchable movie franchises so far. And this movie is sadly nothing like the original HP movies. The only thing that is has in common are the special effects for the apparitions.

There was no real dialogue between the characters. Just silly one-liners and the occasional humorous remark.

I am also very angered by the fact that they just introduced a new concept obscurials to the HP franchise that would literally change everything if obscurials exist why hasn't Harry Potter become one? After all he fits the criteria.

There was also way too much CGI in the movie. It became a real nuisance after a while. Especially because it wasn't even "up to today's standards". My final critique concerns the overall flair of the movie. It just didn't feel like it belongs to the magnum opus that is the HP movie franchise. And righteously so; why did they film it in NYC? I never really realized it before but now that I watched this movie it became very clear to me.
You can't just change the location like this and expect the audience to embrace it.

What is Emily Mortimer Watching? These, it seems, may still be all in the future. The film is set, like the first, in the late s, but in a climactic scene of frenzied rhetoric, Grindelwald gives his followers a vision of the horrors to come in the next 10 or 15 years: All this, he claims, is what he wants to avoid. But it is ambiguous. Grindelwald begins in custody, the way we left him at the end of the last film, a brooding Lecterian figure who is far from resigned to incarceration.
In Paris we are reacquainted with a now vitally important figure: Credence, a troubled young man played by Ezra Miller, who may hold the key to the future of wizarding. Is he good or evil? But the most striking newcomer is young Albus Dumbledore, well played by Jude Law , an enigmatic and charming figure who persuades Newt that he must travel to Paris to find Credence and confront his own destiny.
Albus is now well-known to be gay, and in this film he reveals himself to have been as close as brothers with a certain character as a young man.
Actually, closer than brothers. The relationship was intense. There was a commingling of blood.
