Excited to get started on the next book, Last Chance Beauty Queen and I'll be back tomorrow to share my thoughts on Little sister, Rocky's book!! Hope you all enjoy this series and give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!! Enjoy and Happy Reading!! Jun 08, Ayu Wirdha rated it liked it. Sarah sbg wakil dr brand tsb diberi tugas oleh bosnya utk mencari sisi negatif Tulane shg dijadikan alasan utk memecat Tulane sbg bintang iklannya brand tsb.

Bgaimana nasib bos2nya Sarah? Apakah Tulane menjuarai balapan? Apr 21, Marleen rated it it was ok. This 2nd book in the Last Chance Series is cute enough, and yeah, a bit silly , and I must say I wasn't entirely convinced by the characterization of the female lead, Sarah Murray.

Home At Last

You cannot leave us, readers with questions like that. As usual, the southern small town Last Chance and the Rhodes family are great! I like their quirkiness and family values. The genuine interaction between the siblings and their relationship to their parents - even as grown-ups. I immensely enjoyed the character of Tulane. Oct 06, Vanessa Booke rated it it was amazing. I loved Home at Last Chance, I found this story quirky and sweet. Although the beginning didn't immediately draw me in, it was definitely worth reading on.

I loved the idea of a big city girl and a southern boy. He's always trying to maintain his tough guy appearance but deep down inside he's a big, soft, caring man. At times it was frustrating because you just wanted him to give in to his feelings for Sarah but, that would be too easy.

I can honestly say I adored the town of Last Chance, it felt so real. It was definitely quaint with its Golfing for Jesus and the Ladies Auxiliary. It was so funny seeing the Ladies Auxiliary trying to matchmake Sarah with the town's pastor. I felt immediately drawn to the quirky details about the town's residents and the closeness of Tulane's family.

Tulane's mother, Ruby is hilarious. I honestly wish she was my mom. I loved her character and I found it funny how she tried to get Sarah to cut loose. Overall, I thought this book was fantastic! I can't wait for Hope Ramsay's next book. I fell in love with the little town of Last Chance and I hope the stories continue. I had my hesitations in reading this 2nd installment in the series.

Tulane was mentioned only ONCE in the first book. So there is nothing really there to excite me. I enjoy reading [love] stories where two people worked for the relationship. I think there could be more to it. After all, we all want our happy endings. At least in the books. Oct 10, Jessica rated it it was amazing Shelves: I've always been into sport romances, but I've never tried out a race car driver one before.

Boy have I been missing out! This book was such a cute read and I absolutely loved Tulane. He was so irresistible with his good looks and talent on the race track. Not to mention what a sweet person he ended up being under his bad boy exterior. Sarah was the perfect good girl to break down Tulane's defenses and bring out the good, sweet nature in him. Every single person in Last Chance was so cute and ca I've always been into sport romances, but I've never tried out a race car driver one before. Every single person in Last Chance was so cute and caring that I just couldn't get enough of that town!

It seems like the perfect place to go, fall in love, and settle down in. I really liked seeing Tulane in the setting of his home and open up to Sarah like he never had to any other girl. Everything about this book was adorable and it was just a feel-good read. For a light romance, I'd highly recommend picking this one up. You won't regret it one bit. Oct 16, Darcy rated it liked it Shelves: This was another sweet book. I loved that Tulane had to deal with being a manly man, in a manly sport of stock car driving with his car being pink and the logo of a bunny rabbit.

When he first heard about it you can just imagine his response, I am sure it was filled with 4 letter words. I did think he coped with it in a fairly good way. You know he had to complain, what man wouldn't. Although his form of bucking it did get tiring, his immature personality got annoying very fast.

Volunteers Needed

Sarah did a good This was another sweet book. Sarah did a good job of riding herd on Tulane, corralling him to all his events, and getting him to do what he needed. What did surprise me was how good she fit in in Last Chance right from the start. As much as Tulane's immaturity annoyed me, Sarah's naivete did the same thing. Once again a bright spot in this book was Hayley. I loved how she managed to get soem very grown up points across to the mixed up adults, all the while with little kid innocence.

Sep 26, JenniferJ rated it it was amazing. In One Word--Fantastic I gobbled this book up in just one or two sittings! The characters were so easy to relate to and fall in love with as much as the Southern locations; not to mention I am only about 45 minutes away from one of the places mentioned, Florence, South Carolina! Tulane- I love that name just kept me in tears laughing at him and his teasing nature to Sarah who was handling public relations for his stock car team all the while driving In One Word--Fantastic I gobbled this book up in just one or two sittings!

Tulane- I love that name just kept me in tears laughing at him and his teasing nature to Sarah who was handling public relations for his stock car team all the while driving her up the wall. I felt kind of bad for her though because bless her heart no matter how hard she tried to not be a good girl she would fail miserably. She cant even curse without blushing! Her boss is wanting her to get some dirt on Tulane so they can get a new person to represent their new project but Sarah is fast falling for Tulane's charm not to mention his hometown and family.

I want to read all the Last Chance Books now! I have found a wonderful new author and series! Sep 12, Kristi rated it liked it Shelves: Ruby Rhodes and all the ladies who hang around the Cut 'n' Curl are a riot when they get going. Being older they absolutely think they know what's best for the younger adults in town. Even funnier is that they rarely agree on just what "best" is.

And is there anything better than a good girl finally breaking out of her mold and going rogue. Not here it isn't. We love our heroines feisty and ready to take on the world. Tulane is about to be run over by the steamroller that Sarah is striv Ruby Rhodes and all the ladies who hang around the Cut 'n' Curl are a riot when they get going.

Tulane is about to be run over by the steamroller that Sarah is striving to be. She may not accomplish what she set out to, or at least not in the manner she set out with, but half the fun of getting there is just the trip. The second book in the Last Chance series by Hope Ramsay not only holds up to the first one, but it also stands in its own right. It's a quirky, fun read with a dash of romance and all over light-hearted good times. Jul 26, Darkand rated it really liked it Shelves: Another sweet offering from Last Chance, South Carolina.

I was wondering when a "Dusty" would show up but maybe that was just foreshadowing from the first book. I think of her as his handler although she is described as his nursemaid. I enjoyed seeing Sarah taking her baby steps away from her "Puritan voice" and Tulane showing his true colors along with his heart of gold. I'm looking forward to the next installment about Rocky the sister, coming up next. Apr 14, Meg rated it really liked it Shelves: The chemistry between Tulane and Sarah was wonderful.

I thought Tulane was the perfect hero for a romance. He had just enough emotional baggage and vulnerability but most of him was strong, driven, and motivated by the right thing. We didn't spend as much time in last Chance as the other novels but I liked that, there was just enough of it to love without it being overbearing. Sarah's character was great. She had all sorts of facets although at the very bottom of it all, she was too good for her own good. The dynamics of her work were a good addition to show the cut throat world that she just really didn't belong in. On the other hand, she easily fit into the community of Last Chance. She was able to do it under the radar, quietly which matched her character perfectly. The pair balanced each other out well, they each had strengths where the other did not.

Sep 26, ILoveBooks rated it really liked it. This was a really sweet novel. The author continues to deliver terrific books made to be read at the beach or during a long car ride. Tulane and Sarah are the main characters, they fit each other perfectly as a couple. Tulane is smart, caring, and kind and Sarah is much the same. They are both likable characters and easy to enjoy. I don't want to say too much about the plot lest I risk giving away too much, but I can tell you that the plot held my attention throughout the book. The events were f This was a really sweet novel. The events were fairly fast-paced and the ending will leave the reader wanting more.

The author has a stream-lined way of writing that makes the plot immediately clear and the transitions flow. This book is recommended to adults. Mar 04, Moon Love rated it really liked it. I'm glad that I found out before picking up the latest book in the series. The religious overtones are toned down quite a bit compared to the previous book, and I liked it a lot more because of it. I was also more interested in Sarah and Tulane as compared to Clayton and Jane. Maybe because Tulane was a stock-car driver and Sarah reminded me a little of myself.

Upcoming Meet & Greet Events

But this story has much of the same action and drama its predecessor did, but it's a little more believable. The comedy and emotion was also there in spades. I definitely enjoyed this book more than the first one. I think Hope Ramsay could be an author I could grow to love. Dec 11, Jeannie and Louis Rigod rated it it was amazing.

This book has humor, a great story-line, and some heart-stopping moments during car races.

I look forward to the next book in the series. I hated this book, and with how bad the previous book was for me, I won't be continuing the series. Tulane was a complete jerk for almost the entire book, Sarah was a very confusing heroine insomuch as she was spineless one minute and a savvy marketing guru the next.

The story was filled with deception, backstabbing, and squabbling, all of which served to overshadow the romantic aspect of the plot. We did get to see snippets of the characters introduced in the first book, and updates on the live I hated this book, and with how bad the previous book was for me, I won't be continuing the series.

We did get to see snippets of the characters introduced in the first book, and updates on the lives of everyone in town, but on the whole the entire thing just wasn't that interesting for me. I found myself very bored throughout the book, going so far as to start another book while reading this one.

I think I'll avoid the author's work in the future. Aug 09, Merceda rated it really liked it. Book was good overall, and it was good to see the women get together to save the Golfing for God 18 hole miniature golf course which was devastated by the angels and a hurricane when Haley was taken by Woody West, and he crashed into Jesus at the golf course. And the sorrowful angel began appearing to Haley then. We don't have any teeth left, so we need to eat canned food. And Shaggie is blind in one eye and makes his way around bumping into things.

We're both house trained, but I, Blacky, will try to mark if you have another dog in the house who marks. But, were the sweetest cuddliest doggies. Home at Last will waive one adoption fee if you can make room for both of us! Check out Blacky's video on Petfinder at: Do you think that we can retire with you? This is a chance for you to come out and meet our adoptable dogs and fill out an application to adopt or foster.

If you are planning on coming out to see a particular dog, it is best to check our Facebook page the morning of the event to view the list of dogs scheduled to be attending. As a growing rescue group, we are in constant need of volunteers who can assist us in saving dogs.

If you are able to provide a foster home for dogs until they are adopted, please e-mail us for more information. Fostering is such a rewarding experience and is vital to our goal of placing rescued dogs into new permanent homes. That cute little puppy you want to buy is from a puppy mill and yes, pet stores WILL and DO lie to you and will tell you whatever you want to hear to make the sale.

It happens ALL of the time! We are a group of volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters, as well as owner-surrender dogs who need to be re-homed due to unfortunate circumstances. We are not a shelter, and we have no central location for the dogs we rescue. We pull dogs from various shelters and provide foster homes until they are adopted.

** SAVE A LIFE **

In doing so, we hope to provide an alternative to the purchase of puppy mill and pet store dogs, thereby reducing the demand for, and ultimately, the supply of, such dogs. We strive to match each dog with the right family after the dog has been observed in a foster home. You must complete an application, which will help us determine if the dog you are interested in is a good match for you. Home At Last reserves the right to reject any application and reserves the sole right in determining the best placement for our dogs. You can complete our online adoption application with the name of the dog you are applying for.

Without charging our own fee, we could not afford to do our work. Most PA county shelters get tax-payer funding and large corporate donations to support them so they can afford to let their animals go for a lower fee than we can. We thank you for your understanding. Some of our dogs are designated as benefactor dogs.
