Little did I know that they would be so relentless and want their time right now! I wrote for the pure joy of it and to entertain my family and friends. But mostly it was to get more than an hour of sleep without a story playing out. Of course, the more I write, the more they want. My name is Kathi Barton and I'm an author. Oct 04, Cindy Barton rated it it was amazing. Kathi Barton you did it to me, I cannot believe this has happened. You made me cry!!!!!
I hate to cry when I am reading because I then have to stop until I can see again. It wasn't Sin or Coop that made it happen but Shipley.

This is only the tip of the antics Sydney to come everyone else but Sin to her family and the army. This is only the tip of the antics that these two have to go through together. This story made me cry and laugh in sections which I would not expect anything less from Kathi. You must give this a read and the rest of her books as they have made me not want to put down until the end. This book is probably my favorite so far in the series! Both of these injured people come together to help each other heal. Sin is the tough one of the bunch.

Dec 02, Garmieturtel rated it it was ok. Well, at least this didn't turn out to be Alyssa pt 3, with a side of Sin. However, this one fall into the same misconception hole that 'Byron' did. I was already certain of this scenario being used before reading the book, so I'm not sure why it irritated me so much, but it did! I guess I just felt like Sin deserved better.
Nothing against the scenario itself, but the author's writing of it leaves much to be desired. Oct 06, Charlene Bauer rated it it was amazing.

I found this book to be fascinating. Between Son being almost killed, then trying to build a relationship with Payton, and someone out to kill both of them, this book keeps you riveted from the very beginning. Kathi takes you from the jungle back to Ohio, and through all the painful changes as both Payton and Sin try to recover from physical and emotional injuries.
Together they must find who wants them dead and why. Kathi has really outdone herself this time. The ending was odd and I frown on it but other than that Ms Barton is in fine form. I can almost forgive the train wrecks of Willow and Cain, almost. Jun 08, Fairy Tale Junkie rated it liked it Shelves: It's kind of cool how the characters are so interconnected with one another.
I really like Sin from the beginning, she's so bad ass! Kind of sad about losing someone in the ending though Oct 21, iliana G rated it it was amazing. OOOhhhh myyyyy this was my fav book so far!!! I was given an ARC for an honest review Feb 08, Ginny Rose rated it really liked it Shelves: This is the third installment of Barton's Waite Family, and I have to say the series gets better.
This story are about two different yet similar people who were presumed dead during duty. Sin Sydney a military hero and Payton Coop a detective are recovering from their physical wounds under the same roof, which is the start of their story. Attraction is high and tense.. What I liked most about this book is how Payton and Sin treated one another as equals. There This is the third installment of Barton's Waite Family, and I have to say the series gets better. There wasn't this battle on who was more experienced than the other.
Instead they teamed together and brought one another levels of experiences to use. Sin broke my heart on so many levels. Why she pushed others away and how she needed to be understood as well as to be loved broke me. This book is a 4.
I find myself still needing to re-read some sentences to see who said what. In overall, its a great series in which "alpha males" meet "alpha females" who voice their minds. The banter is comical yet a reminder that woman are equal power houses to the men that come into their lives.
