This time though, Tempest has stayed far away from dangerous men, deliberately choosing a kind and unassuming person with whom to spend the rest of her life with instead.
But marrying a man who has been willing to take the back-seat to her fears, means marrying a man who has allowed her to easily keep him at arm's length, all the while, and the end result is that she is about to marry someone with whom she has never even once had sex. In fact, the only one to ever truly fulfill the secret submissive hidden within her, and to excite her to the depths of her sexual being, was the rakisly handsome millionare who so callously broke her heart a year earlier, a man whom she has spent the past 12 months desperately trying to hide from.
But quite unexpectedly, those dark demons from her not too-distant past are just waiting to claim her once again. Despite all of the miles she's put between them, and all of the many things she's done to hide her current whereabouts, Victor, her first love and only lover, has somehow managed to track her down. And now that he has, he is dead-set on dragging her, kicking and screaming, back into the life that she had thought she'd left far, far behind her.
Because the one thing Tempest did not, and could not know, was that despite Victor's rash decision to break up with her, he was never able to get her out of his mind. Knowing Tempest would never agree to meet with him now, he instead decides to abduct her at the only place he knows for sure she'll be; her very own wedding chapel.

Oct 12, La-Lionne rated it really liked it Shelves: If it wasn't for couple of reviews I've read, I would have never picked up this book simply because of the cover. And it's not the case at al! I wish people that chose the cover would have put more thought in it, chose one that represents the story, intrigued a reader enough to read a blurb and then, maybe buy the book. I don't know if it was due to small budget or just Ugh!

I don't know if it was due to small budget or just bad taste. Things that I liked: It was surprisingly good. Fast paced, no unnecessary descriptions. The story is pretty short, but the author managed to pack in just the right amount of information. No more, no less than it was needed. I did like her, but I haven't quite figured her out yet. Is she that stupid or that naive to get involved with Him?
Or is it the case of "curiosity killed the cat"? Was he that good of a manipulator that made her completely lose her mind? I don't hate her, but I don't love her either.
And the Bride Wore White
But I'm curious to learn more about her. Not a prince charming. He is controlling, possessive and manipulative. There is not a lot of information about him. Almost everything you know about him is based on rumors. There are quite a few interactions between our two main characters, but I can't shake off the feeling that author withheld a lot of information on purpose, to keep a reader guessing, but interested enough to keep reading it. I do hate him at this point, because of what he did to her, how he treated her. At the same time, I feel that there is more to him than it was revealed in this first installment.
Or at least not yet. She is not in love with him and he is not in loved with her. She might be addicted to him, but it's hard to say how he feels about her. She - because of good sex? He - she is easy to manipulate?
I have to read the next installment to find out. It was very descriptive, that was what made me cringe more often than not. A lot of erotic scenes with a decent plot. I liked that story didn't start with the dirty stuff right away. We got to know her a little bit first. Things I didn't like: I'm so over them. At the same time, the money allowed him the freedom to do things he wanted. I imagine it would have been hard to kidnap a woman if he only could afford a bicycle.
Was the money that got her to go on that first date with him?
Tells me nothing about what this book is about. It feels like someone just chose a random picture of a naked woman, just because it's erotica, and because the book needed a cover. She did wore withe, but what that have to do with anything? I recommend this book to all lovers of things that are dark and twisted: The Decision to Wait. How did we make it? God knows that I was not perfect. How did I wait for the wonderful gift of being one with a man I so tenderly loved?
I am going to share it all with you. It includes seven special secrets that gave me the strength to make it through a lot of temptation. Saying no to worldly lusts. It all started with the truth of Titus 2: In all of your love for God, you could be blind-sided by worldly passions. I know these worldly passions exist, but I know the only way I will be able to say NO is if you teach me! If you didn't go to class, your teacher could not fill you with all of the knowledge that he or she had to share.
The God of the universe can't teach you either, unless you place yourself in His presence. I have been praying for you. I want so desperately for you to stand before God and to request for Him to teach you to say no to worldly passions so that you can live a self-controlled, godly, upright life.
