Love to follow this young author's progress.. Keep it up McKenzie! My son loved the first book and was ecstatic to hear of this new book coming out. Once he got it He read it quicker than any other book and loved every minute. It is one of his very favorites and is actually one he wants to read again and again. Since my memory is so terrible these days I reread Benotripia the Rescue.

Sep 22, Jinky rated it liked it Shelves: This book was certainly impressive for a twelve year old author and with further training her fanciful storyline will have more in depth descriptive flourish. That said, I would consider this to be a solid good book for elementary kids. Its adventures were appropriately imaginative for said age group. The writing was simple and easy to follow.

This is her second book, the first written when she was eleven years old. I can imagine a teacher reading this book to her class, probably at a second or third grade level. I can picture the kids sitting around their teacher hanging on the words and not wanting the teacher to stop. It is full of imagination and action.
Read my Review Here As I had mentioned before in the first book's review, I think it is incredible to see such determination in a little girl. I definitely saw some growth and improvement from the first book. There are still plot holes and mistakes; however, for a girl her age to be published is quite an accomplishment. Again, my expectations weren't too high. I would have enjoyed this story more if I was still in that age group. The story is very imaginative and creative, something I relate all Read my Review Here As I had mentioned before in the first book's review, I think it is incredible to see such determination in a little girl.

My 9 and 12 year old boys love it and say that "The Stones of Horsh" is even better and more thrilling than the prequil, "The Rescue". It's full of surprises! They love how the characters have their own separate powers and the way they choose to use them, and they all have memories of how their friendship began.
You won't be disappointed with Benotripia! Jun 30, Stephanie rated it it was amazing. I enjoyed the character development in this book. It was fun to get to know the 3 main characters better. I loved all the elements -- the new adventure, the new characters, the search for the stones, the battle and the cliffhanger at the end. Fun, quick read even for adults. McKenzie continues to develop as an incredible young writer!
