Definitely a great holiday gift, or if you know any child, moving to a new home or facing any new situation. After moving to a new house, Paul misses his friends and discovers something magical that changes his life. The illustrations are excellent, colorful, and detailed to the point of including a cute little spider in the basement. A surprising ending will leave you happy. Excellent story of imagination helping children overcome hard times.
Children from 4 to 10 will find the story relates to them. After reading the book to my children for the first time, my four year old son insisted on sleeping with the book in his hands; he then woke up in the morning and read the book while I dressed. Since he's only four, he told me he was reading the book "using my imagination" which is exactly the point of the book!
