Shelve Family Blood Ties: But be warned, this will also end in a cliff hanger. This story continues where book 1 leaves off. There is a lot of action but to me, the story did not really progress much further. It was pretty much more of the same It became rather redundant. This is a series book and must be read in order. This does end in a cliff hanger. I won't tell you what is in the story, that is what the synopsis is for, but I will tell you, it was a good read that I really enjoyed and I loo This story continues where book 1 leaves off.
I won't tell you what is in the story, that is what the synopsis is for, but I will tell you, it was a good read that I really enjoyed and I look forward to more of the story. Can not wait to finally see their HEA if there is to be one. I assume so but have a feeling it will probably be book 12 before we see it at this rate. All in all a good read. Would I recommend this book? Would I read more from this author? Jul 30, Mandy Parmenter rated it it was amazing. Vampire in Distress
Great second book and I felt better than the first maybe because it didn't need to set the scene and introduce characters as much Apr 23, Rebecca rated it it was amazing. This is book two in the series. If you thought that number one had a cliffhanger ending, this one is a cliffhanger from the top of Mt. What a fantastically written book. It was long but not drawn out which was a feat in itself and a testimony to Dale Mayer's writing ability.
I thought Tessa was home free I loved the possible love interests in this one. I know who I want her to end up with but will Dale Mayer go with me or like most authors, pick the opposite of wh This is book two in the series. I know who I want her to end up with but will Dale Mayer go with me or like most authors, pick the opposite of who I'd pick? Only time will tell. The storyline was pretty much the same as book one but more in depth and focused. Well done Dale Mayer! May 13, Sherri Malia rated it it was amazing.
I enjoy watching Tessa grow. It was an easy read that had a nice flow to it…and yet another cliffhanger that leaves me wanting to dive right into Vampire in Design.. Feb 19, Debbie rated it really liked it. Okay Tessa continues her superhero vampire act in this sequel, out-thinking and out-fighting her adult family members and friends, saving the good vamps and humans.
By the middle of the book I had had enough of them not knowing what to do and getting lost in the mountain blood factory by going off in small groups. It took too long for the "townsfolk" to rescue them. Don't get me wrong. It was still a page turner, but it was also frustrating at their slowness to act. Nov 23, Simone rated it it was ok.
This book is an extension to the first one. It is about Tessa a Vampire and her family and friends trying to escape a blood farm. A mess they get into in the first book. They call the police to investigate. I did not like this book. It got a bit boring during the beginning and the middle. I wouldn't recommend the second, but I would recommend the first. I can not lie this book was one of those books I am not interested in.
Aug 18, Emily rated it it was ok Recommends it for: It just seemed like everybody and their vampire brother was being captured.
Vampire in Distress (Family Blood Ties, #2) by Dale Mayer
I got tired of the whole kidnapping theme, and was hoping for a little more depth. Girl gets napped, escapes, but then relative gets napped. The napped person may change, but it was a continuous plot of so-and-so is now missing. The plot just seemed redundant. Mar 12, Sarah rated it it was amazing. Tessa is an amazing character with all the usual teenager angst and new vampire abilities coming into play.
She's proving she can cope with almost anything you can throw at her. I think that this series is going way to slow for me. Things are happening, but it feels like the same things over and over. The last chapter could be cut, as well as the next book, and I feel the the ending would be just fine. I will be readin the last book in hopes that it will make me feel differently about the series. May 31, Laura rated it it was ok. This was soooo repetitive. By the time the story developed at all I was kind of over it.
I may try to read the next book at some point as the idea behind the story is pretty interesting, but I need a break.

Jun 03, Kelly Akemann rated it it was amazing. Such an amazing second book in this series. The ever growing suspense is killing me and making me finish this today. I absolutely love the growing relationship Tessa has with Cody. I also adore the relationship she has with her father.
Wonderful writing and character development. Feb 24, Deborah Davis rated it liked it. What is it with this author? Does she believe not one will read her series unless she leaves them hanging? Well, she just lost me as a reader. I would have put her at the top of my reading list, if she only knew how to end a book.

Jun 25, Amy rated it really liked it. Although till an easy light read, I was surprised by the turn this story took. The battles were fiery without being to graphic. The ending really caught me off guard. I am looking forward to the next book. Sep 04, Johanna Schonberger rated it it was amazing. Leaves you on a cliffhanger!
