Kids end up neglecting homework to watch this show, which isn't okay. I love this show with all my heart, but it's only for mature teenagers who can express self-control. Things about the show: Most female characters have supermodel looks. They all have exaggerated cleavage and tiny figures. That is alright in the scheme of things, however, because most of them are exceptional fighters. Only one girl that I can currently think of is not so great. She is the protagonist and often ends up yelling the name of her love interest Natsu so he can come save her from danger.
Her powers are weak, but she often provides inspiration for other characters. Her terribleness is made up for by my personal favorite female character, Erza. She is queen of the fairies and scares most of the guys she knows. Another bad part of fairy tail is stuff like: Child labor, exaggerated violence even though that is the premise of the show and it is okay for teens , slight nudity a certain character has a habit of removing his clothes, but no sensitive parts are ever shown and he has an understandable backstory explaining this habit , and some villains have no purpose.
All of this is perfectly fine for a mature teenager and can be quite funny for them. Sometimes characters break into fits of yelling and others laugh. Fairy Tail revolves around friendship the entire series so far and makes sure that it all turns out right. I forgot to mention, a certain character often has vivid sexual fantasies but they are only spoken of like 'what happened to you caressing my hair! And one character has a drinking problem. Kid, 10 years old May 9, Nah Entirety age appropriate this show is amazing.
Teen, 17 years old Written by Asher17 February 2, An oasis in a sea of overly-childish and overly-adultish I am a 17 year old, and I believe this is the best anime It seems ideally suited for teenagers and has a rare feature of that genre: To me it is a beautiful story about a bunch of teenage wizards in a close-knit group, one could even describe it as similar to an adoptive family, who have frequent adventures in which they all laugh, joke, and frequently combat the forces of evil and corruption.
Again and again this show re-affirms valuable life lessons such as cherish and stand up for your friends, always be willing to forgive, never give up, and most of all: Frequently villains in this show become allies and even close friends, and the main characters are always willing to let bygones be bygones, but they always stick up for their friends and family. The individual character's back-stories are wonderfully constructed and always pull at your heart-strings. However, I must admit there is not-infrequent use of fan service and the show at times bluntly portrays characters drinking or smoking, habits I would not encourage to children.
Although, those characteristics usually take a side role if any role at all and are never the focus, and one should always remember this show was never designed for children but instead for teenagers. In conclusion, if I could only tell you one thing about this show, it would be that it always leaves me feeling happy and hopeful, and inspires me to try harder to forgive those who cross me and cherish the friends and family I have.
It is a wonderful story full of magic, beauty, honest and comical humor, and always seems to present the best humanity has to offer. I would highly recommend it to anyone over the age of 13, although maybe not someone over I hope I have been helpful and if you decide to watch I can almost guarantee you will not regret it.
Also the soundtrack is amazing! Kid, 12 years old May 29, Intriguing, visually appealing anime! There really isn't any severely inappropriate things in this show. The only minor problem is the violence, which includes the fighting in almost every episode.
Structure, Plot, and Pacing
However, the violence is not super intense and bloody. Fairy Tail also has just the right amount of small, little jokes and amazing action. Give it a try! Kid, 10 years old June 4, This anime is about friendship. If someone messes with your friends Its a world with magic and the main character Natsu Dragneel is very compassionate about his guild Fairy Tail which everyone treats each other like family because they might not have families them selves.
It gets extremely emotional sometimes. And by sometimes I mean a lot of times. You shouldn't sacrifice your self for your friends.

Very few times there's deaths or gore. I obviously have a lot of freetime. Helped me decide 9. Had useful details 8. Teen, 13 years old Written by Justashipper September 21, Amazing Show Personally I thought it was amazing, I only think it's kind of iffy because they have some sexual references every once in a while. The show is captivating and has good morals though. Teen, 13 years old Written by FrozenOut July 16, This show has lots of positive messages and role models. Yes, Cana over-drinks and Gray strips, but they make it clear this is not okay and only humorous by telling Cana "You drink too much!
It can get sad sometimes, but it's always okay in the end. Very young kids may get scared sometimes, but typically it is a funny show, full of kindness and teamwork. Although it seems unlikely, the show is also very inspirational. As for there being few positive role models There are many positive role models actually.
Lucy is powerful, though she often doesn't think things through and seems like the damsel in distress a LOT, she is not the only character on the show. The show follows Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Erza, and Gray as they work together making many new friends along the way. Natsu is known as the Salamander, and he is very powerful. He cares about friendship and always puts his friends first.
Gray and Natsu often get into fights, stopped by Erza, a girl I might add, but they all are shown to be friends deep down. Erza is a very powerful female. She can change into hundreds of armors and is very smart too. Happy is a flying blue cat that is shown to be a good friend of Natsu and the rest of the guild. He makes both the characters and the viewers smile. As I said before, they make many new friends along the way. Wendy is a child that proves to be more powerful than she looks. She is a dragon slayer who learned her magic at the age of 5. She also has healing magic and is quite helpful.
She is not your typical useless little kid. Juvia is a girl that wants Gray to like her. If you think Lucy proves to be more than just a pretty face, you should see Juvia. She's very powerful, very kind, and loves everyone very much. Gajeel is a man that is also very strong.

In fact, I'm not going to keep on going with this because it would sound very redundant, as everyone in the show cares about their friends and is quite powerful. Almost everyone is a positive role model. There are some things that little kids might not understand, though, but what show doesn't have things like that? A girl named Lisanna is said to have died, but eventually we find out that she had just gone to another world and comes back, for example.
Overall, though, the show is very good and very happy. Kid, 12 years old July 6, Some adult jokes but still AWSOME I've seen almost every episode of fairy tail and i will say there are some adult jokes and language in it but, come on!

Yes there is some violence but its not that bad. Its funny and very relaxing when coming back from school. The only thing that I don"t like is that one of the girls in that show Lucy has big chest and dose not do anything. I have one question: I was watching the first season on Netflix and I want to know were could I find the other season? Helped me decide 8.
Teen, 13 years old Written by Darksouls September 17, Best anime i have seen next to deathnote This anime is Awesome! I binge watch it on my free time yes there is cussing but its pretty mild the violence is bloodless they can be thrown into a pit of spikes and come out with bruises they main charetar is a female and has no use at all I think natsus the real main charetar than the girl and one guy has an obsession with being naked they tell in later episodes.
Teen, 15 years old Written by Hainesama September 3, Fairy Tail is one of the good animes out there for teens. There are others too, but this one is good for 13 or older. It does have a lot of fanservice but in a good way. But it's certainly one of the creepiest.
It's got it all: Well, how about the fact that it's almost certainly mostly kind of true? In case you haven't heard it in awhile, here's a quick refresher on the story of the Pied Piper: It's the year , and the German town of Hamelin is dealing with a terrible rat problem. He agrees to rid the town of rats in exchange for a large fee, and he does so by playing his pipe until the rodents come out to follow him. Then he leads them away and returns to collect his money — but the town decides not to pay.
So he takes out his pipe and begins to play again, and this time, it's the children that begin to dance and follow him. He leads them to a crack in a mountain, which swallows them up forever. Your instincts are probably telling you that a lot of this story isn't true, right? Trust your gut; it's called a "fairy tale" for a reason.

For one thing, the rats were completely made up. They didn't play a role in the story until the 16th century. The mountain that gobbled up the kids? Probably not real, since it's a raging river in some versions of the story. The guy with the magic flute, who dressed like a clown and somehow led all of the children away from the town? The earliest recorded reference to the lost children of Hamelin is actually a stained glass window depicting a magical figure in colorful clothing, commissioned sometime around That's right, just 15 years after the event allegedly happened.
Unfortunately, the window was destroyed in the 17th century, but most historians agree it did exist at some point. There's some evidence that's survived to this day, as well. When you're flipping through the town chronicle of Hamelin, you'll find an entry in the year So clearly something happened in But we're guessing it wasn't really an enchanter who could hypnotize children with his flute.
