This is an amazing story about the journey of a single mother with 4 small children and their search for a new life. The honesty with which this story is written is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. I laughed and cried and fell in love with the innocence of her children. The compassion and hospitality of total strangers gives me hope that there is still so much good in the world.

The Journey Somewhere

If I had been in the same situation I hope that I would be able to handle it with the grace and faith that Melisa has shown. I wish the Amaya family nothing but the best in their future. And I hope to share more of their journeys. Amazing book and story about Melissa's journey across the US with 4 young kids. I love her writing style and honest sharing about struggles, doubts, triumphs, and seeing her faith in God throughout the journey.

An inspiring, wholesome read. A truly courageous woman whose kids will be blessed beyond measure. There I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There were also some really funny parts.

JOURNEY TO SOMEWHERE

My laugh startled my cat many times, and maybe my neighbors. This is the first of Suzie Carr's books that I've read, but not the last. I've already purchased two more. There is a long build up and much inner searching, reflection and self- examination. It is not so much a love story as it is a story about love, a reach for life purpose and who you choose to live your life with.

This approach may be boring to some but to me, this is real life and I like real life. Through the author's story telling, I cared about each of them. May 17, Jedi Sheriff rated it it was amazing. Absolutely loved this book, at the end of Tangerine Twist I was hoping that there would be more for Becca and Kelly, I was so happy to be able visit their lives again.

Great characters and superb writing! Jul 24, jennspoint rated it it was amazing. Fantastic sequel to Tangerine Twist, and very inspirational read for anyone who is struggling with letting a dream live or die. This is definitely another Suzie Carr masterpiece! Satisfying conclusion I have seen reviews suggesting there was too much "rehashing" of the first book in the series in this volume. While there is some, I didn't find it to be too much.

There were some inconsistencies, which I might not have noticed if I didn't read them back to back, but the different perspective on the same events was worthwhile. However, by the end, I felt that the entire two novel series might have benefited from being written as one novel with sections of the novel alternati Satisfying conclusion I have seen reviews suggesting there was too much "rehashing" of the first book in the series in this volume.

However, by the end, I felt that the entire two novel series might have benefited from being written as one novel with sections of the novel alternating between the perspectives of Becca and Kelly. This might have resulted in a smoother presentation.

I'd say the two novel series is about 3. Several of the characters increase their likability factor in this volume of the series considerably. One who doesn't, however, is Bonnie, Kelly's fiancee. Some of the revelations in the story, in particular about how she pursued Kelly BEFORE she had broken up with Becca and that she was barely out of a prior relationship where she lived with her girlfriend at the time, suggest she is not nearly as safe and secure of a partner as Kelly keeps thinking she is.

In general, all three of the main characters involved in the triangle in this story rushed into new relationships far too quickly in the previous volume. This volume shows that one of them was practically simultaneous with the break-up. Indeed, it seems that Kelly harbored false beliefs about Becca cheating on her when she was far closer to doing that herself.

The biggest issue I have with the story as a whole is the extreme amount of rationalization it takes for Kelly to continue going down the rabbit hole throughout the story and the way Becca pushes Kelly to stay with Bonnie, even when it seems like she realizes that Kelly isn't really in love with Bonnie, despite what she insists. Margie certainly isn't fooled, and you would think, based on how few of Becca's secrets she didn't pass on to Kelly, she would certainly have talked with Becca about how unhappy she thought Kelly was?

May 16, Precious rated it liked it Shelves: It drew me in, being a lover of photography, I wanted to read something that had to do with something i'm passionate about.

The Story; This style story is a first for me. I enjoyed it, I had a few problems with Bonnie, like in the beginning they tell us she was a photographer too when she and Kelly met, but somewhere along the way she just gave up?

And didn't really care much about Kelly following her dreams, and helping for a good cause? I found Bonnie annoying.. I found it easy to forget the characters where in their 30's.

Maybe it's because I'm not. And the fact that even at 30 you're still finding yourself. Thank you Suzie Carr for the book. Great finally I really liked this where this story went after reading the first book. I like that we got to read Kelly's story and her struggle. The main character was unlikable, but maybe cause I didn't read Tangerine Twist? I did enjoy the character of the best friend though. Jun 04, Heidi rated it liked it.

Good follow up with the characters, Kelly and Becca. The end seemed to be rushed. A long buildup, and then resolve in just a few chapters.
