Gun control is a hot-button and always interesting topic. Does a good job of defining terms. Succinctly describes what the gun control debate is all about.

The Second Amendment and how it relates to gun control. A discussion on whether or not assault rifles are needed for protection. A discussion on the causes of mass shootings. This is especially true of the shootings that have occurred in the last years.

However, there has also been an increase of shootings related to religious racism, job loss, jealousy, mental health issues, as well as drug and gang violence. How we compare with the UK? So what is the answer to minimizing violence in America? This is a below average book. In short, there are better books on this topic.

Where are the quotes from the best defenders for each side of the argument? Every topic is treated superficially. Unfortunately, that is the case here. Wallenberg selects an incendiary topic but douses it off with lackluster facts, poor narrative and poor arguments. In short, interesting topic that failed to meet my expectations. The auther claims to represents both sides but clearly comes from a anti-gun bias. She does offer explations from both sides and if one didn't know anything about the gun control debate it would give you a starter insite, but I learned very little.

I do belive the author believes she fairly represents both sides but that is not the way I understood the book. If they did, I believe they would still not see the light. This is a short 8 chapter book that discusses the various aspects of gun control: What is the 2nd Amendment and does it apply today?
