Tell Me: Earth & Sky

These books are great for teen-agers and more mature readers who don't like unnecessary sex scenes, violence, or swearing, but enjoy action and adventure with a sci-Fi basis and a touch of romance. I feel that each book got better than the last, and there were some real surprises thrown in that made the story unpredictable but even more believable since real life does not always have happy endings. I really enjoyed the series and should the author decide to continue the story of the characters in their new setting, I'd love to read it too.

One person found this helpful. This and the other 2 books in the series awesome. When I first started reading the first book I thought it was good and more than I expected that 11, 12 and 13 year olds could be so resourceful, but before that book was over and this book as well as the third it was edge of your seat stuff.

It turn out to be one of the best series I've ever read.

Loved her take on time travel tech and the human condition , a n original concept highly recommended good read. I enjoyed the characters, and the variety of viewpoints, as well as the consideration of people making their own choices. Now don't get me wrong, there were a lot of twists and turns and even some parts just seemed a bit over explained.

Barron's Educational Series

I can honestly say I was quite pleased! The rebels are interrogated and released on good faith while Sky receives an implant and is placed in a new Earth Studies exhibit. Her transformation from the first book to the last is almost a complete She started the series broken and she ends the series a strong, brave young woman. She fights for her friends and her family. She will not be something to throw away by the Kemyates but a force to be reckoned with. I love that the author decided to write in his POV too.

The chapters alternate POV between him and Sky. I liked Win from the first book and I still do. These quirks of his are endearing and humanize him. Like Sky, his character has also gone through a major shift. He started the series as an explorer, trying to prove himself to the rebels.

Now he takes a leader role, holds fast to his beliefs, and the passion he had he channels into action. I could just kiss him! During the last book, the author set Sky up in a bit of a love triangle. I know I was! Sky with Win and the rebels set out to change that view. Their goal is unity, I mean they are all humans so why not?!

One can only hope! I am too much of an earthling to ever enjoy a book after that happens and things get worse Earth is destroyed at the end of book two I guess I am too much of an earthling to ever enjoy a book after that happens and things get worse before they get better.

The ending was upbeat and I enjoyed the characters of Skylar, Win and Jule. Then she meets a mysterious, otherworldly boy named Win and discovers the shocking truth her premonitions have tapped into: For thousands of years, life on Earth has been at the mercy of alien scientists who care nothing for humans and are using us as the unwitting subjects of their time-manipulating experiments.

A mind-bending journey through time with a cast of unforgettable characters. Yet challenges spring from every side. Not only must Sky navigate the muddy waters of romance, but suspicions of betrayal grow among the rebels as their work narrowly misses sabotage. Skylar must expose a traitor before time runs out and Earth is destroyed. See all 36 reviews. I was hooked the moment I started reading Earth and Sky. Loved the scrappy heroine, Wren, and the mysterious, sweet stranger who becomes so important Ville. It's true that a few typos, etc.

I enjoyed this story but I did find myself skipping parts near the end But I enjoyed the characters and the world that Ms. It reminded me of Full Metal Alchemist with some winged vamps and shifters thrown in. I loved this book! I couldn't put it down. It has intrigue, romance, and is full of action. The development of the story and its characters is captivating. Ville and Wren are one of my fav literary couples now! A new twist on shifters and vampires. Really enjoyed the story. Jan 02, Lillian Cummings rated it really liked it.

The more they dig into their histories the clear the picture becomes but will anybody believe who caused the war between the races? A great sold read. I received a copy from the author. This is a wonderful book! The story is riveting, and takes place in a steampunk world where magic and technology co-exist. The technology is of the steam-powered variety, with automobiles and guns; and the magic includes alchemy, energy manipulation, and incredible creatures. There is war, intrigue, and romance.

It is a sort of Romeo-and-Juliet romance between individuals that should never have come together, and the result shatters their world in ways never dreamed! I highly recommend this stor This is a wonderful book! I highly recommend this story! It was not as intense as the books I usually read but I liked it.

It's a steampunk Romeo and Juliet paranormal version; to the point that the lovers aren't even humans, aren't even from the same species but when they mate, the offspring are more powerful that it scared the humans which led to some of them creating a misunderstandings between the angel and the shifters, resulting in years of battle and its the two star-crossed lovers that b It's Steampunk!!!!

The characters arent whiny, everyone is badass even if they arent good. Again, it was a nice read I love the world this author has created. Alchemy, magic, fallen angels with sharp pointy teeth and a world of shifters. I normally don't like it when you have vampire and shifters in the same book, but these weren't vampires and it just worked. The whole book is just so different from your usual paranormal series. Both clans are fighting against each other, but against all odds Wren and Ville fall in love and have to work together to have peace. Both of them think the other started the war and I love the world this author has created.

Both of them think the other started the war and both work to keep humans safe from the other clan, so what is really going on?

I look forward to more full length books from the same author The world building is well done and characters are all richly textured. The story was engaging from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down. The magical rules in this book are not the classic shifters or vampires. The nature of these characters was different in a very positive and enjoyable way.
