Mam makes every effort to accommodate even the fussiest of clients and she always does it with a smile. Great local Thai food and because of the training from her partner Lawrence sadly deceased outstanding European food too. Own or manage this property? Hotels travelers are raving about Swissotel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach. She cooks up good, solid American country food six days a week. You eat what she cooks. Never mind what it is. Whatever it is, it is exceedingly good. There are a couple of meat dishes, about four vegetables, two or three salads, homemade rolls, and always, always, always, three different pies.
All made from scratch, on the premises. The food is served family style. Eat until you stop. The place generally attracts locals and workers. It is not unusual to see a table full of construction workers, next to a table of farmers, next to a table of guys like me who go there when they are in the area. Or you might share a table with anyone.

Jeannie's is open 8: Go to Jeannie's for breakfast or lunch, even if you have to drive from Lincoln, Beatrice, or, yes, Pawnee City. I could not be more serious.
Built in an old Catholic convent and school, the accommodations are lovely, the breakfast is ample, and the view is sublime, at least if you revel in the rolling landscape of southeast Nebraska as I do. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in this vicinity to stop for a great home style dinner.
It is only open for lunch Monday through Friday but Tuesday only is fried chicken day. Very quaint and homey as in the owners house with different decor. We live 20 miles away and go there often. Never had a bad meal and so delicious..

It is located in Lewiston,Nebraska not Pawnee City. The food here is served family style, and you get whatever they are serving for that day. We arrived at noon, and didn't leave until 2: For beverages, you have a choice of iced tea or water. Choose the water because the iced tea is instant, which is undrinkable. The first course was a fruit salad consisting of melons and kiwi fruit.
As I'm allergic to melons, I didn't have any. Then they brought around a plate of sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. I'm also allergic to cucumbers, but my cousin stated that there was a tasty dressing on them. The main course was quite good, and consisted of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and carrots with cabbage, celery and onion in a tasty sauce. I liked the carrots. The giblet gravy was good, but It had noodles in it, which seemed odd and unnecessary. There was pie for dessert.

We were offered a choice of chocolate cream, coconut cream or lemon meringue. I chose the lemon meringue. I think they may have accidentally left it in the oven too long, as the meringue was thin and not toasted, as if they had to scrape off the top. Also the crust was hard as rock, and had a bitter taste.
I love pie crust, but that was awful. One of the guests had a birthday, and someone played the baby grand piano in the room while everyone sang Happy Birthday, which was nice.
