Jul 23, Sharon rated it it was ok Shelves: Cullen links the film biographies of 6 major Hollywood film actors to trends in American historical and political thought. Superficial readings of films ostensibly support his thesis, but the book really feels like he was attempting too much. His chapter on Jodie Foster an actor he readily admits "frightens" him is ridiculous and is culled mostly from reading her estranged brother's memoir.
