Great epic tale building a wonderful new world with equally wonderful characters. The length is a little daunting, but the way the books are set up reminds me of Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia because they are separate stories that come together in the end.
I have a more in-depth review on my blog indiebookreviewer. Jul 06, Daniel J. Weber rated it it was ok Shelves: Will serialized novels becoming more popular, it is my belief that this book could be well packaged as such, and in fact is internally. This one book is split into 5 shorter stories all with their own characters. The introduction tells us that the first three stories are stand alone and the last two will tie everything together.
I believe that, because of this promise, I continued to read until I was part way into the 4th book, just to see how things became connected, but more on that later.

I loved that the narrator has his own voice. Jake Yaniak breaks through the fourth wall saying things like "The story I will tell you" or "it may be appropriate at this time, for the reader of this book to be made aware of It is, I suppose, because of this that the narrator voice is so wonderful. It is different and unexpected, bringing a unique flavour to the writing. The world is very well thought out and detailed. There is a lot of lore, and Yaniak has obviously spent a lot of time planning the history of pretty much everything, making it come alive with cultural, religious, and political flavour.

I have been a fan of Rick Riordan's books for years now, and his newest addition does not disappoint. In fact, if I am being perfectly honest, The Hidden O In the process, they met some strixes that feed only on blood, which they finally repel using strawberries. While sleeping, Apollo dreams about Herophile telling him that he must save her even though it's a trap. When he wakes up, he finds himself in Grover's base.

When Meg wakes up, they find the line from the prophecy, 'Demeter's daughter finds her ancient roots' to occur. They then find out that Macro, the store owner is actually Naevius Sutorius Macro , working for Caligula. He attacks them with an army of automatons.
