The support team did a great job leading the rides, encouraging the riders, and catering to our needs throughout the trip.

The Dolomites trip is truly challenging and the Thomson trip formula really works - the routes, pacing, rental bikes, meals, and, most importantly, support and camaraderie enabled everyone to achieve their goals and have a great experience. This is a must do trip that should be on every serious bikers bucket list. After one trip, I would recommend over other tour companies offering similar trips. This was the most challenging cycling experience I have ever attempted. No doubt I have done climbs and rides such was the ones we did in the trans-Domolites tour, but to link them back-to-back over a week of riding in the most beautiful setting in the world was a true test of both determination and ability that I will remember fondly forever.
Brilliant week doing the signature climbs in the Dolomites. Hard riding as expected with first class support, accommodation and food. It was fun to be part of a really good group. The Thomson staff are excellent. The Trans-Pyrenees trip was a breeze compared to the Dolomites. Although the Dolomites was extremely challenging, having a good spirited group of ride leaders and trip manager made the trip fun, exciting and a pleasure. The support was second to none. This was my second trip with Thomson and I knew I would not be disappointed. I am already trying to decide my next trip with Thomson.
Keep up the good work. Trip of a lifetime. Challenging riding amongst spectacular scenery with a great tour company.
Editorial Reviews
Still not sure about the large number of riders for the trip - 24 compared with the 12 on last years Trans-Alps which was my first trip. Personally I liked the intimacy of a smaller group. I would not hesitate to book my next trip with Thompsons and have been telling all my cycling mates back in Sydney the same thing. You guys are very professional and very hard to fault. This was a wonderful trip, fully supported by very friendly ride staff, where nothing was a problem for them.
The rides were challenging but spectacular. Riding my bike all day in Italy for 7 days without a worry or care to slow me down. How good is that?! A fantastic trip, beautiful mountain views of the Dolomites and Alps. Difficult but manageable climbs.
Trans-Dolomite provided me the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful, stunning mountains in the world and ride some of the hardest, most iconic climbs in the cycling universe! If you want to challenge yourself, and you want to see and ride the biggest mountains the pro peloton tackles, this is the tour for you. An outstanding level of service, served up with passion and compassion! The guides really made the trip fantastic They were relaxed and fun and always took care of us. Another great trip from Thomsons.

We leave our hotel in Alleghe today and head for Bolzano, nestled in the valley that separates the Dolomites from the Alps. From the Fedaia we can enjoy the descent into Canazei and Vigo di Fassa before the moderate climb to the Passo Costalunga. The magnificent scenery will distract you from the effort. Our staff names this among their all-time favorite ascents.
Rejoice at the top before heading to our exceptional hotel in Bormio at the bottom of the descent. With an average of After conquering the Mortirolo we head up the valley to Ponte di Legno where we start the climb to the Passo Gavia. Unfortunately, our trip must come to an end.
