He demonstrated his perfect pitch through 25 years of piano tuning or by calling out a note on the scale when he heard an elevator ding or a telephone ring.

Carolyn spent her life serving in many facets of education, from teaching young children to students with emotional problems. In her retirement years she served as a Washington County Guardian for children and enjoyed serving as an election judge. Carolyn was a great lover of books, card games, birds, football, tennis, and anything that bloomed. Carolyn adored her family and close friends and enjoyed traveling the country, sharing her witty sense of humor everywhere she roamed.

Harlan served in the Marines in WW2 and Korea. He and LaVonne made their home in St. Paul for many years raising 3 kids and working for Univac and CDC. When the oldest was 16 and the youngest 3 they moved to Columbia Heights. Harlan started and ran his own successful business for over 50 years. His nickname was Mr. Pump for his expertise in the pressure washer field. During his life he wore many hats, but without a doubt "Bapa" was his favorite. Family was top on his list. She had a gift for art, especially creating pencil portraits, painting, and drafting, and her work was destined to cover the walls of the two homes she herself had designed. The Farleys moved to Edina, Minn. Harrison and Marie raised four girls and two boys: Marie was a superb mother and loved her children dearly, and she was resolute in rearing children of strong character. From a young age, Marie developed an innate sense of rightness after learning about the crimes against her Jewish friend's family in Nazi-occupied Germany, and she had a desire to see everyone benefit from equal rights.
She championed support for the Civil Rights Movement at her church and in her community. She was a fighter for the underdog, and worked tirelessly to get struggling families a home and education in finances, eventually founding her own nonprofit, Consumer Credit Counseling Service. In , she suffered her first stroke and retired. The following year, when Harrison retired, the couple set their sights on building a custom log home that Marie designed in Cannon Falls, Minn. There, Marie resumed work on her art and gardening.
The couple sold their home in to live in a condo in St. Paul, enjoying views of the Mississippi River for nine years. As the consummate planner, she pushed forward to secure a new home where more care and assistance would be available, and they relocated to the Villas of Lilydale senior apartments in soon after Marie began having further extension of her compromised cerebrovascular system. While Marie's death was not unexpected, she died with grace and without complaints. Her faith was not worn on her sleeve but was deep and rooted in the New Testament.
She was a treasure to her family; those who knew her loved her tenacity and indomitable spirit. She was guided by integrity, beauty, ethics, and the conviction that we are all capable of creating a better world. As a devoted and influential matriarch, she will be forever imprinted on her family and friends through her legacy of strength, determination, and encouragement for us to always "rise above it.
On behalf of Harrison and the entire Farley family, we would like to express our deep gratitude for the wonderful love and care the Lilydale nursing staff gave to Marie. In respect of her wishes, immediate family will hold a private gathering in celebration of her life.

Corky was predeceased by his mother, Doris Fleischman and father, Curtis Fleischman. He was a high school all-star athlete, competing in soccer, hockey and baseball. He demolished walls and floors, built rooms, staircases, a welding shed, and then there was the Epoxy Era He enjoyed golf, tennis, cross-country skiing, and bicycling, and he and Barbara traveled widely 6 continents declaring that after living in Minnesota for so long, a trip to Antarctica was superfluous , often in the company of dear friends Stan and Pat Cairns. Margaret started her career as a teacher at St. She then spent 29 years working for the State of Minnesota; the last 9 as a computer programmer. She retired in March of Margaret was a voracious reader and loved old movies. She was an excellent cook who loved cooking for her family. She was a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephew, giving them the gift of her time and many, many books! Margaret had wonderful friends and enjoyed her time with them.
She was kind and compassionate and lots of fun. She loved her dogs, first Lady and then Twinkie. They brought her much joy. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary Stein.
