Thanks to Angus, she is a complete stranger to Cade Tanner, the man she loves, and true happiness seems far from reach. But after Cade saves her from nearly drowning, she senses that he has not forgotten her completely. Cade Tanner walked out of the jailhouse Poppy Seabrooke knows one thing for certain; she would rather die than end up married to the warlock, Angus Wolfe. Something he needed badly.

Then an accidental brush with the U. Marshal's wife changes everything, and nothing in his life will be the same again. I think this is a very good series. Memorable characters and a really unusual plot with a witch a warlock and time travel.

Onto the third one now. This book went in really unexpected directions. I really didnt see this coming. I though they would be in Montana for the whole of book 2 again. But a lot happened, they traveled to a few different distant places, and the fantasy elements got much heavier. But it was so short: But the scene near the end was totally heartbreaking and their love is totally epic. I cannot wait to read book 3, but I dont know how This book went in really unexpected directions. I cannot wait to read book 3, but I dont know how it will work out.

Poppy admit that if it hadnt been for Angus, she never would have met Cade. But maybe they will be immune to the changes. When dealing with time travel you can sort of make up your own rules. Dec 13, Catarina rated it really liked it Shelves: This will be a short review because I really don't want to give the book away.

Ok I really was scared to start this book. I mean the last book ended with Cade forgetting Poppy, its not exactly something I was excited to read. All I can say that even though he didn't remember her in the beginning, we weren't Cade deprived. I loved the cabin in the woods, and in a weird way I loved their trip to the Witch's World. Their adventure, purple sand and the witch's council were all really interesting. Popp This will be a short review because I really don't want to give the book away.

Poppy has seriously grown since the first book. She was a little immature and naive in the first book, but after everything she went through it was easy to see how she had to grow up. It made me like her even more. I felt really bad for her throughout the book because she had to deal with everyone she loved turning their backs on her, Cade forgetting her, her punishment, and the constant threat of the evil warlock.

Seriously she never caught a break. I was sort of proud of her at the end of the book. Y'all already know he is one of my book boyfriends, but is it possible he just got better? I'm really trying not to give anything away, but know this, he got hotter and sexier and he proved how much he was willing to do for those he loved. I thought she would time travel to our present day, but she ended up in the old west and that just made the story more interesting.

Seeing two different historical time periods in the same book. Angus is a truly menacing villain and I was dreading his reappearance for the whole book. Just waiting for him to arrive and ruin everything for Poppy love her name btw!

This book was sooo sweet and romantic and I can only imagine what will happen in book 2! Its gonna be awesome because Poppy will be fighting for Cade, and Cade is gonna do something awesome like overcome magic for her! I already loved her Camille series but I always feel like I need to read at least two stories from an author to really confirm my sentiments.

Now I know for sure she is awesome. P Thank you so much Tess for this book, which she gifted to me! Feb 13, Giulia Napoli rated it really liked it Recommends it for: Lovers ot time travel romance. What's neat is how the author shows the reaction of the heroine to the change from repressive Salem, MA at the witching time, to the wide-open spaces of Montana, years later. I haven't seen this done before, and I enjoyed it. The characters are either very likable or easy to detest. Most have some depth but are a bit short on complexity, which is why I gave this well-written and edited book 4 instead of 5 stars. However, the author has an opportunity to round out the characters in the upcoming books of the trilogy - it'll be interesting to see if she can do that.

It'll also be interesting to see if the heroine stays in , goes back to , or goes further into the future - with or without her true love. This first book is adequately ended, but does a near-perfect job of setting the reader up to run out and buy the sequel, as soon as it's available. I really fell in love with this story and the characters: It would be scary to go from one era to another; not knowing what to expect and to see things that you never thought imaginable. Tess Oliver did an excellent job bringing me into the story and holding me there. Jan 21, Melonie rated it it was amazing.

Wow, one of the best books I have read in awhile! I could not put it down. Once I started I could not stop until I read the last page, now I anxiously await the next book! Thanks Tess for a wonderful journey! Jul 11, Catarina rated it it was amazing Shelves: I love Cade Tanner! I just had to say that before we get started And I call dibs on him ladies! But I 'll get to more of him in a minute. This is another win for Mrs. I never have to wonder if I will enjoy her books Everything about this book was interesting, the romance, time travel, sexy cowboys, humor, suspense, and magic made this book awesome!

I will try not to ramble in this review but I make no promises. Overall this book was great. It took me a couple of pages t I love Cade Tanner!

It took me a couple of pages to get into it, but once I did I was hooked. There was never a dull moment, something was always happening to push the story along so it stayed interesting. And I loved the alternating POVs. I loved seeing things from Poppy's pod but since I love Cade and want to steal him from Poppy, I was excited when I realized his pov was told as well.

Poppy has to be one of my favorite heroines, and I'm not just saying this. She was strong and independent, but she also had one of the kindest hearts. I felt so bad for her when she got sent to the future and had to deal how much everything had changed. I can't explain it I just do. Maybe its because I watched so many westerns with my grandfather when I was a kid, I don't know. This cowboy could definitely be classified as an alpha-male. He was strong, protective, possessive, and sexy.

And even when he was faced with the outrageous truth and all odds against him, he never backed down. He was confident and cocky and again sexy. If I don't stop now I'll ramble and get annoying so I'll just leave you with that. I hated Charlotte and Angus.

Unbreakable (Years from Home, #2) by Tess Oliver

Charlotte was just snotty and annoying and reminded me of all the girls I disliked in high school. Angus is pure evil in my opinion. What he did at the end of the story made me want to scream and punch him OH and knee him in his baby maker. I have mixed feelings about the ending. It made me so sad and I hate cliff hangers. But it made me super excited to read the sequel Unbreakable so I don't know how I feel about it.

I was balling and when I read the final page I was like, 'No no no! This can't be the end. So it definitely made me want to continue the series and see what happens next.

Time travel

Anyways, overall I loved the book. And where should you read it? Read it outside in your favorite reading spot, and make sure to keep some tissues on hand. Check out more of my reviews and fun stuff on my blog: The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I was given a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion. Poppy Seabrooke is an eighteen year old who lives with her grandmother, Nonni and little sister, Mari. Poppy is a witch and will use her magic when she is not suppose too. Poppy lives in Salem, MA. Although Poppy only uses her magic for good things her grandmother has told her more than one time not too.

One day Poppy and Mari are on their way home from town The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. One day Poppy and Mari are on their way home from town and they see some boys picking on another little boy. Poppy wants to help the little boy so she uses her magic to save him. Then she is arrested and thrown in jail for using her magic. While in jail Angus, a warlock and a very powerful one at that wants Poppy all for himself. He visit Poppy in jail and makes a deal with her.

He tells her he will get her out of jail if she will marry him. Poppy doesn't want to marry him but she doesn't see any other way. Her grandmother finds out about the deal she made with him and uses her magic to send Poppy years into the future. Poppy is supposed to end up in Salem years from now but instead she ends up in Montana in Cade Tanner and his friend Jacks find Poppy after she lands in Montana.

More titles to consider

Cade takes her home and his family take her in until her grandmother can come and get her and take her home. Cade and Poppy know that she will not be staying long and they both know better than to fall in love with each other but they do anyway. Who can control love? I never expected Distraction to be as good as it was. I love reading books about Salem witches but Distraction was way different than any I have read so far. In the beginning I thought Poppy was a little immature but she grew as the story progressed.

She turned out to be a very nice young lady. In this conclusion to the Years from Home Series I honestly didn't know what to expect. Oliver almost broke my heart in Unbreakable with what happened to Cade and Poppy. Now, not only are Cade and Poppy on the run from the evil wizard, now they have to avoid the Witch Council. And to have a chance at the life they desire they have to go back in time and undo a death that could change the course of history for the community as they know it. Seriously this girl amazes me.

She is smart and kind and compassionate and brave, and I couldn't help but root for her throughout the book. The man is as sexy and swoon as ever. The amount of courage he shows when he willing travels with Poppy and does everything he can to protect her and be with her is humbling, even if he is very humble.

Seriously Cade is as confident as ever. I have mixed feelings for how the book ended. I loved it but I'm sad.
