Listen to Your Quilt
I had heard the term "Listen to Your Quilt". Some of the quilts I just knew what to do but others through me for a loop, and they took me months to complete. This Book explained how I was not alone in my "Idea" of letting it tell me what it needed. Thanks to Barbara Persing for putting it in a book so I wouldn't think I was crazy! In Listen to Your Quilt, the author provides copious examples of topics through illustrations that are on different pages throughout the book.
Unfortunately the Kindle edition only provides locations, while the text itself refers to pages, making it very difficult to navigate. The fuzziness of the illustrations are also a drawback. The links to the aforementioned pages did not work on my Kindle, but did work when reading it on my iPad. The iPad edition has the additional feature of looking at a close-up of the illustrated quilt samples. Kindle edition drawbacks aside, the premise of the book is a good one and provides the quilter with some solid guideline for choosing quilting patterns. As the author describes in the early sections of the book, this is the guide to simplify a tough decision on how to quilt a quilt.
I am putting the procedure to use immediately. This book will really give you insight to what quilting will look best on your quilt.
