The rhymes were bothersome at times, the wording never flowed easily, and the story is disjointed. The illustrations were cute, though, and the moral of the story was a good one. Sep 08, Amanda Masters rated it it was amazing Shelves: This book is about a dragon named Zagonk who wants to win the dragon games but cant because of his "honk".

I like the picture with the frost giant freezing the green dragon. My favourite part was when the all the dragons defeat the frost giant. The Honk of Zagonk

Little Dragon Zagonk is looking forward to the dragon games, but when he gets there all that comes out is a Honk! Will Zagonk find it within himself to save them? Pat Hat is a wonderful storyteller! Jul 20, Diane rated it really liked it Shelves: I like that the story shows that because someone is different does not mean they are bad. I'm no expert but I was able to get my grandson to see that even though the others laughed at his honk at first, in the end it was the best thing to have.

Also, that even though not every difference will "save the day" you should not be mean or laugh at someone; you never know how wonderful somebody is if you don't give them a chance. He's a bit young 3 to completely understand about differences but I like I like that the story shows that because someone is different does not mean they are bad. He's a bit young 3 to completely understand about differences but I liked the opportunity to discuss this with him and believe that it will add a foundation for future discussion as he grows. Plus the dragons were cool.

I would love to see how these dragons develop personalities over time.

Fraggle Rock - Song of Songs

This would be a cute kids show about growing up and having adventures: I have no idea why, but it makes me think of 'The Land Before Time' series that my daughter grew up with. This is our first Pat Hatt book. I'm hoping to find more already published when I go in search of them. I want to add that Ozzy Esha did a fabulous job on the illustrations. Each of us has a special talent to use. For children, especially boys who love dragon stories, this book will be a hit. It is written in rhyme that occasionally appears to be forced. The illustrations are attractive, but appear very small on the Kindle Fire HD. Older readers might expect a bit more of the plot, there are places where I thought the story could be filled in with more detail. Aug 30, Markus rated it liked it. I picked this up, a Kindle freebie. The artwork in this is fantastic. The story is original. But the rhymes feel forced and clumsy. It's fairly easy to find words in the last line to rhyme.

They have rhyming dictionaries that help with that. But the writer must give the verse some cadence, so that when we read aloud there's a nice rhythm to the reading. But then the artwork is magnificent. I assumed the author is a graphic designer who wanted to write some books, and then I read that the illustrat I picked this up, a Kindle freebie. The Honk of Zagonk

I enjoyed your story Pat! It sure has a good moral to it- that one should not belittle someone or some pet that may not be like good or good as you, or is different in anyway from you but be loving and caring to that one. I recommend this ebook for children as a lesson that's here. And this is why I am giving this ebook five stars.
