  • The storyline is different from any other I have read. I couldn't put it down, I so wanted to find out how it ended. The ending was definitely not what I expected. However this story is definitely sigh-worthy. I cannot wait to read more of Barbara 's books. The Ghost and Mrs. Hallam I mostly liked this story. Parts were a bit too wordy. However, the proof reading in this book was extremely poor. This book was not ready for public consumption.

The transition from on person or time to another was sometimes hard to follow, with no notice that it was changing. Even so, I can not wait to start book two!       His mother and father had recently died of illnesses, although left him with a sizable trust. Now, upon his release he had no one to greet him nor return to. His one sister, ten years younger, had not communicated with him at all and he did not know where she w What a fun and clean book, appropriate for all ages.       Not wanting to return to his home in California he rented a car and headed for Oklahoma. Tragedy hit and once again he was in a type of prison yet different because he met some unique people and learned some valuable lessons. He lost the feelings of resentment and bitterness which were replaced with new thoughts and feelings. This book only lost a slight momentum toward the end.

      It was very well-written and drew the reader into the lives of the people involved. Feb 16, Joyce rated it really liked it. I really liked the story line, but did not totally love the book. I tend to read a lot of time travel or books that take place simultaneously in two time eras, so that is what I liked. The book did not always totally draw me in.

      I felt many times the characters could have had more depth.
