There will be several breakout essays that grapple with the implications of what this means for the Twin Peaks fan learning to live in a new world that has turned their thinking of the entire story on its head. In the Fall of , I invested in learning the Transcendental Meditation technique and it has completely changed my life and opened up new avenues of peaceful joy for me. When I read Bob Roth's book Strength in Stillness , I was overcome with sorrow and hope for what TM is doing for US Military Veterans returning from active duty, as well as what TM is doing for troubled school children and human beings with addiction problems and who are struggling in the aftermath of violence and personal tragedy.

I believe that TM as a technique can help my fellow human beings deal with these deep traumas in a positive way that will not only bring joy back to their lives but will create a better world. Therefore I am dedicating this entire book, which deals with the worst trauma imaginable, to helping alleviate real trauma in the world.
