With degrees in economics Diplom Volkswirt , philosophy PhD and sociology Habilitation , she became an internationally recognised contributor to the fields of economic sociology and social studies of finance and accounting. Her research approach is inherently interdisciplinary and combines theories and methods from economics, finance, sociology and cultural studies. Her current project focuses on communication and visualisation of uncertain financial information to markets.
