I usually prefer books with one main character but the flow of the story makes the switch, between each, easy. It is Willyns turn to face her trial. The "good" girl of the coven doesn't only have to face her trial but also has to deal with an inner battle about her faith. Keeping her son and the coven safe is her priority. A small complication is the "bad boy" love interest. The coven learns more about the upcoming trials. Also there seems to be a pattern I'm now hooked and can't wait to find out whose turn it will be next.
Haunting of a Witch
After reading the first book in this series, I was immediately hooked on Suza Kates' books. I love anything to do with witches, and I bought this book and her third book Binding of a Witch after finishing the first book. I simply flew through all three books. This one particularly spoke to me. I won't give the story away I struggle with my spirituality, especially since I was raised as an evangelical Christian, but I feel myself drawn to magic and the Wiccan way.
In my opinion, all three books in this series are excellent and I am eagerly awaiting the next book. I am currently reading Suza's book, She Who is Hidden, which has nothing to do with witches or Wicca, but I find that fascinating as well. I was introduced to this series with book one Whisper of a Witch without knowing anything about this author. I was very pleased with the overall story and book, so I made sure to purchase book two right away!
This story picks up three months after book one, and continues on with the next witch's trial. This time the story focuses on Willyn, who is the coven's good girl. To balance out the goodness of her nature, the love interest is a bad boy At times her personality is too "good", but for the most part it is not over done. I do like that this series is written in such a way that you can read each of these books as a standalone.
It wouldn't be too hard to pick up on what is going on if a reader does get to them out of order. One thing I hate is to be introduced to a series late in the game and not know what is going on! I only had two problems with this book. One and this was a problem with the first , it was a very fast read. I overlook that though because this was much less than a full priced book. Two, there was a part in the final battle that was a little overboard for me; however there isn't a hyper focus on it so I was able to let it go.
Enjoyed this Savannah Coven book 2 I read the first in this series first Savannah setting for these books is the perfect setting. Described so well you can feel it. In the first book you meet The Coven Each of the witches have different skills, likely more when tested, by evil. In this second book the coven learns more about each other.

Each books learns of one witch That will battle evil that threatens All in a way that is never clear. There is plenty of witch craft. Each witch came with her cat. A puppy was added, you will have to read about that in the first book. I seem drawn to witch book series. Enjoy characters that develops with each book, This is a book you can't put down. Each story has twists an turns. There seems to be a love story that develops like magic to very unlikely Witches. She's been called to stand for her coven and battle the Amara for the future of humanity. She can't afford any distractions, and she certainly doesn't need any man getting in her way.
Hayden Wells deals with plenty of ghosts, but she's never met one who was terrified - not until now.
And the only way to help the dead is to find the living. Unfortunately the man she seeks is a killer, so she must go to the only ones who can help her - the ones she fears most. Lucia Ruiz believes in love. Though the reality of it has been scarce in her life, she chooses to look to the future. Now fate has thrown a dark hunk of a demon hunter into her life in the form of Ethan Drake. Set to accompany her on a dangerous quest, he persists in being aloof, reserved, and downright unsociable. For Lucia to succeed she must do two things: Find an ancient, magical artifact, and make a man fall in love.
Claudia Grant has officially been called to face her trial - to stand for the Savannah Coven and complete the task that has been set for her. When the antique items she touches show her more of history than she bargained for, she realizes her special talent has taken a dangerous turn. Evil thrives in the present but is also alive and well in the past. Kylie Worthington is in love with a man who doesn't return the sentiment. She's thrown away her pride and all attempts at pretense, yet Quinn St. Germaine still pushes her away.
With the arrival of her trial, she will go where fate dictates and is destined to fall in love. At least she'll finally find the man she was meant for. And the souls that are already damned. These books just get better as the series goes along. Apr 27, Scott Love rated it really liked it. Well, I'm definitely getting more and more happy with this series as I get further along. The action is getting more intense, the drama is getting darker, and the witches are getting stronger!
The books are actually short compared to what I normally read around pages , but Suza says a lot in those pages. There haven't been any pauses in the story. Yes, she has 2 or 3 subplots going but when she changes between them, you really don't mind because you want to know what's going on with the Well, I'm definitely getting more and more happy with this series as I get further along.
