After trying this a little, I found that learning to draw, even cartoons, will take some time, but if you follow the directions in this book, you'll be on your way to being a cartoonist. Its not a perfect system for sure. There are several books that are just better and easier to read in hardback. The Loomis books are a good example. You can get the pdf for free but the formatting is difficult to follow. The hardbacks flow so much better. I do think beginners should opt for digital books if they can. Just because the collection tends to grow huge as you look for more information.
