I have two Pekingese, one very senior, blinde and I think he can barely smell and a Pug with three legs and my other Peke.
They get so excited when they smell the Chicken Soup coming.
My very senior dog can tell when it is being served by the other two dogs clicking around on my wooden floors. He hears them and goes for his dish. A great Doggie success at my house. I have a 4 year old 50lb Australian shepherd mix that has a very weak stomach and frequently develops urinary tract infections. After trying a number of dry foods, the vet suggested we use canned food instead. I put him on Wellness canned food initially, and he did very well with that food- no urinary tract infections, since we switched to wet food. However, Wellness is very expensive, and I was really looking for something of similar quality at a less expensive price.
After seeing a 24 can case of Chicken Soup for about the same price I've been paying for a 12 can case of Wellness and reviewing the ingredients, I decided to give this brand a try. Jake isn't finicky about the taste of food and will happily eat most types of dog food, so I can't really speak to how good this tastes, but he's still doing well from a health perspective.
He had no problems switching to this food and hasn't vomited or had any urinary tract infections, since we switched. I am very happy that I took a chance on this brand. Not only does the dog love it, I really like the pull off can tops. The ingredients are wholesome without much filler.
