Ernie Pound has continued his life of kindness and also made his mark in the world of sports. Ernie also became a professional horseshoe pitcher. He has competed at the highest level and was 2nd in the World Championships. The biggest challenge is getting a story that has a positive impact to catch fire and spread.
We need help in spreading the word about this campaign. Please join Team "A Pound of Kindness" and help us remind the world that kindness can make a difference.
The bigger the response to this Kickstarter the lower the cost per book. These camps impact thousands of lives each year. Our hope is that we exceed 10s of thousands. With this, we will be more able to visit children's homes, Ronald McDonald type houses, and schools with this story of kindness. More stories about Dave Clark and others with disabilities are already in the pipeline. This Kickstarter is truly a launching of great things to come.

Lucas James Brazeau was just a month old.
His immune system was failing.
His family surrounded him, and they smiled, for the first time in ages, as the firefighters from Engine 37 crowded into the room. The firefighters brought gifts for Lucas.

They also gave him a medal. Keeley has been on the job for 29 years. He has saved lives and seen others end far too soon. When the bombs went off at the Marathon three years ago, he led a contingent of first responders from the Columbus Avenue firehouse they call Broadway to the finish line.

And when he went back to Broadway that night, his boots were covered with blood. But standing in that hospital room, reading a proclamation that made Lucas James Brazeau a Boston firefighter for a day, Keeley struggled to keep it together. Mike Walsh stood next to Keeley, shaking. But when we left, we were all crying like babies.
