Will she go to Africa to escape this persecution? To Honor and Trust maybe the third book in this series but its the first one I read. When I first requested this book from Bethany House I didn't realize that there were two previous books in the series until after the fact.

This story has suspense, romance, and comedy. I found myself laughing and crying throughout this book. These authors intertwined their writing styles to give readers one fluid novel. I loved that it is one story with two authors. The characters are great in this story. I enjoyed all of them. As I stated I hadn't read the first two books in this series and I don't feel like I missed anything.
I plan on reading the first two books but I really felt it could be read as a stand alone. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Historical Christian Fiction, you will not be disappointed! I am excited to read more books written by these two authors together! I give this book 4. Feb 15, Sally rated it it was amazing Shelves: It is now and the resort is well-established as a place where the wealthy spend their winters enjoying a whirl of parties and other leisure activities.

The reader learns immediately that Wes belongs to one of we The Bridal Veil Island series comes to an end with this latest title by best-selling writers Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller. The historical details included in To Honor and Trust are accurate and the characters of Callie and Wes likeable. If a book must have a hero, so it must also have a villain. I was immediately suspicious of one character, but admit to being a little slow in piecing together the hints that identified her true identity.
Although this is the final chapter of the trilogy, reading the first two books is not a necessity.
They are tied together only by the setting of Bridal Veil Island, which is a fictional version of Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia. In its heyday, the exclusive Jekyll Island Club was the winter vacation location for wealthy Americans families such as the Vanderbilts, Pulitzers and Morgans. Feb 04, Shelby rated it it was amazing. She was once hurt by a man she loved, and now guards her heart against that ever happening again. Bridgeport, her employers we treat her as family, are convinced to help Callie find a suitable husband Title: Bridgeport, her employers we treat her as family, are convinced to help Callie find a suitable husband. Callie is able to dodge their plans, but not without finding love for herself along the way. But should she really trust Wesley?
Or will he break her heart as well? This book ties together many qualities to paint a wonderful picture. Romance, mystery, humor, and history are mixed together in a charming, entertaining, and engaging way, resulting in a very enjoyable read. I was quickly pulled into the plot of this book, becoming attached to the characters, who were well written. I loved the setting of the story as well, one that is a bit more unique and original. I really do not have any complaints whatsoever about this book, so I can honestly say that I would recommend it to you, if you are anything like me in the fact that you enjoy a good book that captures your attention until the very end.
I received this book free from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. However, my opinions are my own. Jan 31, Erin Maurer rated it really liked it. While the book is part of the Bridal Veil Island series, it is not necessary to read others in the series to enjoy this book. Acting as governess for the Bridgeport family, Callie is at a crossroads. Mrs, Bridgeport has become a surrogate mother to Callie, and wants to see her married. Miss Deboyer has no intention of giving her heart to another man.
She is unsure if God is calling her to teach or to join her parents doing mission work in Africa.
While wintering on Bridal Veil, Callie and her charges form a close relationship with Wesley. He loves to teach the children about the native flora and fauna, and he is young Thomas' golf instructor. Callie finds herself drawn to Wesley, despite her vow not to give her heart away. Wesley is also hiding secrets from his past that could erode Callie's trust. Perhaps my favorite thing about this book is Callie's character development.
The book is set in a time where social standing and a strong marriage prospects were the cultural concerns. Callie dares reject that for a life of service and education. She is strong, with a beautiful spirit. She is also vulnerable and sweet. My only complaint about this book is that it is a bit formulaic and predictable. Still, the authors use emotion and faith to weave a gorgeous, rich story.
I was gifted a copy of this book for review, however all opinions are my own. Jun 18, Kay M rated it it was amazing. To Honor and Trust is a historical romance which takes readers into the lives of both the wealthy and the working class of people in The setting, an integral part of the story, is a winter resort for affluent families. I was very interested in reading this book, as I love the weather and romance of the islands along the Eastern coast and I have a keen interest in the history of the early 20th century. This Bridal Veil Island novel more than lived up to my anticipation.
The contrast of expe To Honor and Trust is a historical romance which takes readers into the lives of both the wealthy and the working class of people in The contrast of expectations and outlook between those who are moneyed and those employed by them was what I enjoyed the most in the story. Callie Deboyer is the one person who is able to bridge the gap between the classes, as she grew up in a privileged home, but is now the private teacher to the Bridgeport family. The story follows the lives of Callie and Wesley Townsend as they struggle with important decisions.
Where should people draw the line of loyalty to family and friends? Is God really interested in our day to day living? How do we choose between living a life of material wealth and a life that might be more personally fulfilling? There is also a bit of mystery in the book—missing people and missing jewelry—which adds intrigue to the story. I enjoyed To Honor and Trust. I felt very satisfied upon finishing the book. I was happy things worked out as they did.

Is God calling her to the mission field, or does she just want to escape the emotio By: After reading another book in this series and i loved this one just as much as the first one i had read. This series is a well loved one of mine and i am sure it will be for you too!
I would recammened this book to those that enjoy Christian fiction. I was not made to write a good review only to voice my honest opinion about the title. I recieved this book for review thru Bethany House Publishers. Mar 07, Mary Bulloch rated it it was amazing.
To be honest, I wasn't sure I was going to like it. It sat on my shelf for at least a week maybe two before I could bring myself to pick it up, and I'm really glad I did. I really liked it. It was about a girl named Callie who was a tutor for a rich family. They were spending the winter in a place called Bridal Island. Callie is currently facing a big decision.
She has the option of saying where she is as a tutor, going to teach at a school or leaving everything and joining her parents in Africa as a missionary. Someone else on the island is facing some major life decisions as well. The golf instructor who doesn't quite tell Callie everything he should. Then she finds out the truth.
Will that damage the relationship they have been trying to build? It was a good book. Very clean and it kept me turning pages til the book was done. I stayed up later than I should have for a couple of nights reading this, but I don't regret it. It was the third book in the Bridal Veil Island series, and I haven't read the first two, but I wasn't lost at all. Having read this, I wouldn't mind reading the first two, and I would totally read another book by this author.
I received this book for free from Bethany House Publishing in return for an honest review. For Callie, her place in the world is as a family tutor for a wealthy family that knew her when she had plenty and traveled in their circle. For Wes, he is trying to avoid committing to join his families company and being stuck in a factory for the rest of his days.
How will God bring these two together, and what is His purpose for their lives? That is the question that makes this novel a great read! Showing how God does apply to everyday life and works towards His ends. This book came across like it was someones personal testimony… with a little intrigue with the thefts thrown in for good measure. I received an eCopy of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the publisher to review. Feb 13, Hannah rated it it was amazing. Callie Deboyer is working as a tutor for the Bridgeport's youngest children while the family spends their winter at Bridal Veil Island.
Callie's treated almost as family by the Bridgeport's, attending most of the many social events on the island. Bridgeport has even signed her up to take tennis and golf lessons with the Bridgeport's youngest son, Thomas. She's living a life many would envy but she could care less about social standing and possessions. She just wants to do what God wants her Callie Deboyer is working as a tutor for the Bridgeport's youngest children while the family spends their winter at Bridal Veil Island. She just wants to do what God wants her to. But it's hard to do that when she's not sure if God's calling her to stay where she is in with a job she loves or to join her parents with their missionary work in Africa.
Throw in a handsome young golf instructor that Callie believes is different from all the other young men she ever met and everything just got a little more complicated. I love many Tracie's and Judith's other books and had high expectations for To Honor and trust. It did not disappoint. With its delightful characters and captivating story I could barely put it down. I'd recommend to anyone looking for an entertaining read that leaves them satisfied.

All opinions are my own. Callie Deboyer is a governess who travels to Bridal Veil Island to work for the Bridgeport family over the winter. She helps the family greatly with the children's studies as well as hiring a new nanny. Wes Townsend moves with his family to Bridal Veil Island, where they continue to pester him about finding a wife as well "To Honor and Trust" by Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller was given to me by Bethany House publishers on the condition that I honestly review this book. Wes Townsend moves with his family to Bridal Veil Island, where they continue to pester him about finding a wife as well as working for the family business.
Wes desires to do neither, and especially doesn't want to attend the welcoming party being held in his family's honor. Callie, as well, is expected to attend this party, even though she would rather send the new nanny and stay at home with the children. But when her employer and the children's nanny tell her to go, what will she do?
Will Wes have decided to attend as well? Will they meet each other and what will happen between them? With deceit and plot twists, pulling of the heart and calling of God, this made for a fairly good book. This book was pretty slow moving at the start, but then I became more interested in the plot as well as the characters, and continued reading. It made for a nice read, overall. As I said before, thank you to Bethany House publishers for letting me read and review this book.

Thomas is part of a wealthy family and struggling with his own future as he avoids the machinations of his father and brother to embroil them in the family business, the one things that definitely not on his agenda of future possibilities.
When the truth is discovered, Callie is distraught. After all, Thomas has lied to her. A strange accident and a mysterious series of crimes culminate to throw the two together or tear them apart forever. No spoiler here — the cover kind of gives away the ending. I enjoyed the story and characters but felt the ending went on too long. It almost felt like the start of another story that then leaves one hanging. In spite of that it was a fun book to read. This is a very nice read! I haven't had the chance to read the others in this series but I intend to soon!
