My Interpretation I think the song is a classic example of a person throwing away a really good relationship to go for the wrong guy or girl. The video really showcased the song's meaning. It's still a good song. I think it's a song about a guy who was maybe cheated on. Thats why he looks like a fool and he is questioning whether he should stay with her.
Thats funny you should say that cause when I first heard this song, I thought the lead singer was Julian Lennon. It wasn't until I found out that the band was Australian that I stopped believing it was.
