Octavo x mm. Bound by Bayntun in earlyth-century green crushed half morocco, spine gilt to compartments, green cloth sides, top edge gilt, green endpapers. Illustrated frontispiece with tissue-guard, 38 engraved plates.
Spine very slightly faded, tiny markings to covers, half title very slightly creased and chipped with short repaired tear, some pages repaired at edges. A very good copy.

Handsome nineteenth century tree calf by Mansell, gilt ruled to the upper and lower boards with decorative corner pieces. Five raised bands, gilt decorated compartments and titles on red and black morocco labels to the spine. Gilt inner dentelles, marbled endpapers. Engraved frontispiece and illustrations throughout the text. A very good copy indeed, the binding square and firm with some rubbing to the extremities. The contents with a small gift inscription to the reverse of the front endpaper are otherwise clean and bright throughout.
